I made this cake for a friends birthday - an 4" and 6" stacked. I covered it with MMF fondant and made the tutu out of a MMF fondant/gumpaste mix. It was my first time working with gumpaste, so I was a little nervous! I painted the tutu with luster dust after it had dried too. I still have to work on getting my fondant smooth, but I think I'm getting better! Thank you so much Emmers for your help!

This was white cake, buttercream frosting. I realized after I took this pic that the monkey's white mouth would look better outlined also, so I added that. This was a big hit amongst the little girls, a monkey in a tu-tu!

My niece wanted a cake that had ballet shoes on it. I looked on here and saw all the beautiful ballet shoes made out of fondant/gumpaste and knew that I didn't want to attempt that so this is what i came up with. I found a really nice picture of a ballet slipper on here, printed it up, and then used that as a template for the cookies on my cake. Everything else on the cake I actually came up with myself (excpet for cutting the top cake at an angle, that was my hubby's idea).

Fondant shoes and buttercream. The little girl's name is Belle so the mother asked for Bellerina to be put on the cake. I used the ruffle tip to go around the cake on the sides. It looks like a tutu.

This cake was made for the Mid-Atlantic Cake Show. The cake is covered in rolled fondant and I cut the music notes around the sides out of fondant. The decoration on the front was made with just a rectangle of fondant and I cut out the yellow "lights" using a tip number 7 for the larger ones and a tip 5 for the smaller ones. There is a fondant rose on the top and the point shoes are made out of gumpaste.

Round 3" x 6" on the top and bottom with a 2"x5" in the middle. Fresh strawberry filling. Fondant slippers formed freehand starting with fondant sausages. Covered in sections. Used the wilton graceful vines impression mat. for the tutu skirt and rear design inset. I've wanted to do the lacing and a bodice for a long time. I'm happy with the way it turned out:)

WASC cakes with Raspberry filling. Books and violin covered in MMF. Photo, masks and sheet music are edible images on chocolate. Other decorations are made of chocolate and/or MMF. I made this cake for a Cultural Enrichment cake raffle at work. People really seemed to enjoy it. Thanks to RiLinNa for her help with the violin.

This is actually a cake dummy for a fashion fair to be held in Florence. Tiers covered with white chocolate fondant. Shoes couldn't have been done without FIRST IMPRESSION mold. Even with the mold, they took forever.. over 40 pairs.................
