My granddaughter's 2nd ballet recital. I made her a cake last year and wanted to make her anohter one this year. Bottom tier was fudge marble cake with a double chocolate chunk cookie and chocloate filling. The top tier was strawberry cake with fresh strawberries and bettercream filling with strawberry flavored buttercream. The ballerina is molded chocolate and dusted with luster dusts. She loved it!

This cake was made for my niece who was graduating from the Univ. of Arts of Pa. She wanted something different. After many searches on this site, I came up with my version of a tutu. My niece and all her guest loved it. Top was made it from the oval cake pans, bottom from 12inch rounds. It is covered in fondant. Decorated in royal icing. The ruffles are ribbons of fondant then I attached top of each ribbon to cake and stuffed paper towels all around and under each layer of ribbons to create the ruffle look. Thanks to all cc members for ideas and advice.

These were for my daughter's 5th bday with her Ballerina class. I had to make over 200 cupcakes that week so I went simple. The girls loved them, that is all that matters. :)

MY FIRST SALE! I made this for boy and girl cousins that are both turning 1. The customer wanted two totally different themes, but I found a way to intertwine the two themes. I'm pleased with these cakes. The dog is a yellow cake made from Wilton wonder mold pan and 1/2 sports ball pan. Dog bowl is one layer of 6" cake with cocoa puffs as dog food. The girl cake is all chocolate cake with choc bc filling 9" and 6" cakes. I encourage your comments. Thanks!

Chocolate chip cookies formed the box with the cake on the bottom layer. MMF covering, RI to decorate. Ballerina is MMF also, I kept this one pretty simple and dolled it up with lots of accessories which made the birthday girl shine!

I made this for my daughters 4th birthday. She had been wanting a Frog party ever since last year and then two days before her birthday she changed her mind and decided she wanted a pink ballerina tutu party :) It was a lot of fun to make.

This cake was made for a little girl's 4th birthday. Mom requested a ballerina and butterflies. This was my first frozen buttercream transfer! The butterflies on the side (though hard to see in the pic) are made of fondant.

I made this for a 12 year old dancer who wanted a combination of ballet slippers and a tutu so this is what I came up with. I think this turned out pretty good and I am pleased with it. Her mum absolutely loved it. Would love to hear what you think of it. Thanks
