This is a circus ball cake I did for my best friends little boy who turned one. This cake is shown without the topper. Originally I made royal icing figures to match the plates but guess what, they broke. So I piped clowns on the top as a back up. I will post a pic of the completed cake as soon as I download it. The cake is chocolate with chocolate whipped cream filling. The cake is based on Kate Sullivans circus ball cake except mine is iced in buttercream and hers was covered in fondant.

This was for my son's bday. It is a double stack of 9" rounds, with blach licorice for the net. A real basketball tops it off like a slam dunk. Son loved it because he got to keep the basketball.

This cake is for the 1 year anniversary of my parent's church they started. They use space with earth on their website. This is chocolate with buttercream 1/4 sheet and then the half circle is vanilla with buttercream. I did the papertowel thing on it to give it a swirly look. I am happy with it. I originally was going to make it the full circle (sports ball pan), but the bottom cracked when I tried putting the circle together. Not sure why...Anyone??

A lady requested a sheet cake for her sons birthday... to take in for his baseball team to enjoy... blue buttercream with white wording was the only request... to add a little interest we made a baseball out of gumpaste and stitching out of royal icing and grass is buttercream. Wording is fondant.

Just a practice cake, first try with the Wilton sports ball pan. DH wanted to make a cake together, so he helped me bake this one and make the icing, though I got to do the decorating;)

This is the smash cake I did for my nieces 1st birthday. I used flourescent posterboard for the petals. It was real easy and my niece loved it. I think she had quite a sugar buzz the rest of the day :)

This is a fbct of Cinderella. It is a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. It is 2 9x13 cakes pushed together. The face was not easy to do, but it turned out okay. The picture of Cinderella came from a google search, not a coloring page.

These are oreo cheesecake and chocolate fudge flavored. The baby shower colors are pink and chocolate. The mom wanted 50 of these. It's always fun to find people who want cake balls!

This was a nightmare! The ball was the easiest, but since I didn't have a bowling pin pan, I had to bake sheets and cut them out. I used simple syrup on the edges to help with the crumbs.

all buttercream, made for a cubs fan (obviously). I however had to ask if the cubs are baseball or football so I would know which album to upload it in.

I made my second batch of cake balls today. They are chocolate cake w/ cherry extract. Some in powdered sugar, some covered w/ chocolate, the rest plain. I took them up to my friends job for the customers to sample. Her boss always has a dome of cookies out so I thought these would be a great exposure tool.

The Bride and Groom requested a ball and chain Groom's cake. I already had the 3D ball pan so I just used it. The cake was dark chocolate, fudge filling and dark chocolate buttercream icing. The chain was made with fondant that I rolled out with my hands. I made each link and then linked them together. It looked really nice next to the Chocolate fountain they had for the guests to dip the strawberry's in. :)

Thought I would whip this up real quick for my daughter's soccer party (The Flaming Cheetos, hence the orange)...it was more time consuming than I thought it would be and not my best game. I'm not a fan of stars, and the soccer ball was not fun!

for my family, easter sunday. It is blue ribbon moist and fudgey chocolate cake recipie from cc.com cookies and cream filling and topping with a semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla almond bark collar around the side. there are four layers each with cookies and cream filling inbetween. this is the first time for me trying these recipies or collaring a cake. I am putting semi sweet and vanilla almond bark covered banana cake balls on top that look like eggs with spots like the cake.

This cake is a 1st on making a ball cake, making and decorating w/MMF. But I really wanted to participate in this contest, any reason to make and eat a cake is good to me. It was an all around fun time making it though and that what matters to me.

My husband and his twin are both bowlers so I made them each a bowling ball for their birthday. I was going to try to match their ball color, but my husband never gave me a final answer on what color his brother's is. I gave up and just did chocolate. I had to do something "plain" for the picky guys so it's just plain old chocolate with an extra egg and pudding mix.
