Here is a cake that I did for my friend's 7 year old daughter. This was the 1st cake that I actually sold. The bottom was a single layer 8" chocolate cake. The soccer ball was also chocolate. All was frosted using the buttercream frosting. I bought the candy soccer balls at the bulk section of our local grocery store. The soccer turned out neat but was somewhat time consuming in that a template piece was used for each white & black section. I traced the template pieces on wax paper & etched them on the cake

Beach themed party for little brother and big sister. Each had to have their own special cake, with a larger life preserver for the other guests. All the kids were fighting over a piece of the rope on the life preserver cake! Go figure!

Chocolate cake, for a little bowling fan. He's in the same bowling league as my son. This cake is part of my contract with the bowling ally, I do all their birthday parties cakes. but that little guy wanted a bowler on the cake. My printer was broken so I had to draw the bowler on the wafer paper, wasn't in the mood for a FBCT and I don't have a projector either. Bless those food coloring pens!!!

This cake was made for a "tasteful" bachelorette party. The cake is iced in chocolate buttercream and has a half ball pan cake covered in black colored candy clay. The words, chain and shackles are also make of candy clay.

This icing job was before I perfected my smooth icing technique....ARG!

My dad likes to do a lot of different things, so we struggle with what type of cake to do. So, I incorporated all of the things he enjoys doing (computers, space shuttle, golf, bowling). The cake is iced smooth in buttercream and decorated in buttercream. Golf ball is made from candy clay.

Marble cake with BC frosting. With the happy couples names both starting with "M", I decided to use M&Ms as the flowers on the tree. The guest loved it.

This is my first attempt at using fondant. The cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting and everything else is rolled fondant. I found it kind of difficult at first but think my next cake using fondant will be much improved.

Made these for father's day. Tennis ball for my dad, baseball for my Father inlaw. Couldn't get red-red and my curves need work but they were appreciated all the same. Tennis was Red Velvet; Basball was Spice cake, both frosted in extra special BC.

Here is a picture of a cupcake cake I made for my cousins son. I used my new cake projector for the first time and loved it. Too bad the cake never made it out of my house, I slipped down the stairs and yes you know... The cake came tumbling after. I was devistated. I ended up having to go buy ready made cupcakes from the grocery store, yuk!

This cake was a mess! I made this for my brother-in-laws suprise 30th birthday party. I transported this cake from Dallas to Kansas City. It took us 9 hours to get there. When we got there, the disco squares from the ball were falling off. On my disco floor the squares had melted and stuck to the lid of the box. So I tried my best to fix it. We got there 30 mintues before the party. Oh and my little guy on top melted too. The silver sticks are the sparkly candles.

I made this one iced in Green, and the edges I trimmed with the Grass Tip... then sprinkled soem Brown sugar on the field around the bases, etc. the 2 Ball gloves you see there, are the Mini Hand Pan. I baked 2 of those and covered in brown. Then drew on a baseball in each.
The plastic baseball figures I bought and arranged on the cake.

This was kind of hard for me to picture...a luau cake for a boy! The surfboard and tiki hut are suggestions from the boy's mother. The entire design is drawn freehanded and filled in with airbrush coloring. The smash cake was done to resemble a beach ball. I love this cake.

Made this cake for my son's 14th birthday. Was not happy with how it turned out in certain areas but was happy with how smooth I got the buttercream on the bottom half (always had problems smoothing buttercream). Top cake is Chocolate Hazelnut w/Cookies and Cream Filling, bottom cake is Yellow Cake w/Cookies and Cream Filling and Fondant accents. Once again thanks to all CC members for their ideas and help and I hope to be as good as you someday:)

This birthday cake was made for a co-worker's niece who is an "I Love Lucy" fan. Used heart pan, BC icing and an image of Lucille Ball obtained from the internet. I'm not thrilled with the outcome, but there's not much I could do with the theme she requested. I dreaded doing the writing. I haven't attempted writing since we learned it in Wilton Course 1 and it shows!
