I got an idea off the internet of a baby's bib cake for baby shower. The girl hosting the shower loved it and I had fun making it!

I made this cake for my cousin's welcome home party. The lambs are too small but that is what my cousin wanted. I made one half choc./choc. mousse, and the other half white/strawberry mousse. The frosting was non dairy whip. I air brushed the green grass and for the water I used colored piping gel blue.

I made this rubber ducky for a baby shower at work. I also made the ducky candy around the cake and put blue & pink cupcakes around the edge as well - everyone loved it!

I also made 2 6" cakes, so my 2 co-workers could take these home to celebrate with their very pregnant wives, who weren't at the celebration we had for the guys at work.

This was my first experience with fondant. I fell in love with it...(the fondant, not the cake). It's so much easier for me than icing. I'm still working on it, though.

This was the shower cake that I came up with for a customer...all she gave me to go with is the comforter that the mother had chosen for the nursery and that she loved teddy bears, and this is what I came up with. This is a marble cake with buttercream frosting.

Very simple baby shower cake. The colors were pink and baby blue (the colors didn't photogragh well). Cake sparkles were added for a special touch.

This cake was made during the Easter season. The client wanted a simple baby shower cake with Easter colors. It was for a baby shower at her office, so she also wanted a cake that was sectioned off.

1/2 white, 1/2 chocolate, BC. One of my first cakes for hire, client wanted BRIGHT colors and she wanted to keep the cake simple, that's why the quilt blocks are so plain. The saying on the cake is quite common, but cute.

Once again, I was only given the comforter to go off of, and this is what I came up with. This is a yellow two-tiered cake, with sugar cookie safari animals lining it..

I made this for my best friend's baby shower. We aren't sure if it's going to be a girl or a boy so we decided to go with her 3 yr old daughter's favorite color. I didn't start on this cake until 1am the morning of the shower - I finished at 8am. Fortunately my friend let me make it at her house and she cleaned everything as soon as it became dirty. So she got a free cake out of the deal and I had the joy of not having to clean everything myself. Everyone loved it and I've got a paying order bc of it.

Wilton's 3-D Bunny cake atop an 11x15 sheet cake. The bunny is own its own board, which is covered with green "grass" to hide it, on top of a plastic plate. Removed board for transport; replaced on the plastic plate at the party. The shower was a garden theme.

One of my first attempts at using fondant....fur is still buttercream, baby's body is marshmallows wrapped in fondant. Used Wilton bear on top of shortened Wonder Mold.

This cake is for one of my best friend's son, so I really wanted it to be special. I'm not happy with my handwriting on this one, but I've done worse. LOL Cross is a FBCT that I drew free hand and traced over.

This is what our guests feasted on for my son's 1st birthday. I did a single layer, 16" chocolate, bavarian filled cake for the base, then yellow pound 3D duck cake on top, with coconut. I still couldn't get my duck to rise enough to make him completely even, so I chopped off the back half and just laid him down on the cake.

I made this for a baby shower tomorrow. The invitations had a giraffe pull toy on them. The mom-to-be didn't want anything real cutesy, so this was what I could come up with. I definitely need to practice doing cookies!!

This cake was for a baby shower for a co-worker. The family chose a 'Sea Life' theme for the nursery so I tried to copy the design of the theme as much as possible. It is all done with buttercream icing.
