I have a customer that wanted a crib for a baby shower and this is what I came up with. The headboard and footboard of the crib is made of white chocolate (which I tinted with a hint of yellow candy color), and decorated with royal icing flowers.

I made this for a large baby shower. The bottle is made up of 9" round cakes cut in half and stood on end, 7" cake for the neck and the nipple is carved from 1/2 of the ball pan. All iced in buttercream

Mother Goose Nursey themed cake - Cow Jumped over the moon book. Italian meringue buttercream with fondant cover, letters and star accents. The cow was hand painted on rice paper with petal dusts, then placed on a fondant backing. All French vanilla flavored cake with raspberry buttercream filling. Base is also vanilla/raspberry cream. I'll post more pictures of the sides.

This was for a baby shower, chocolate cake made in the sports ball pan. Iced with buttercream and decorated with fondant leaves and baby. This was the centerpiece and than I made flower covered cupcakes to surround it. It was a big hit.

Butter cake filled w/strawberry preserves, covered in BC. Mimiced the bedding chosen from Pottery Barn for the nursery-my friend doesn't know that this is part of her gift...a big part...ha! So I think she'll be surprised :) Tried to represent each part of it a tier at a time...

11x15 two layer basketweave cake. Unsure of sex of baby so they wanted a boy and girl used and only wanted the colors pink and blue. Candy melts used for the decorations on the blanket. Ruffles and rope border finish the decorations.

I really love how this cake turned out! It's not super baby-ish, but that is what the customer wanted. The bottom cake design was inspired by a blue/brown baby cake posted here by boween- Thank you boween!! :)

Used a Wilton idea but revised to make enough for many more people - stars and baby were cookies.

Fondant covered and fondant cut-out letters and strips for trims. Each block is a 3 3 /4" cube. Cubes were created using chocolate cake layers (3 layers in each cube) with buttercream icing and fillings between layers.

These were for a baby shower for the first grade teacher. Since kids had so much other food, I figured the smaller cupcakes were sufficient.

I used the nursery room colors for this cake. The stripes on the side of the block actually match the accent wall painted in the baby's room! The two children (made of fondant) in front are "minitures" of the mom and dad to be.

I did this one for a friend for their daughter's baptism- although it could certainly be used for a baby shower cake also (Butter cream icing)

This cake looked fine...until I moved it! :-( The arms are just icing and one side fell almost completely off! I fixed it for now but somehow this cake has to travel a whole hour tomorrow and I am just not sure if its going to make it. Its a large cake. The structure is sturdy but the icing is not so durable.

This is my first attempt at making a "sugar baby". I looked through all of the pictures and tried to figure it out and then I made a few modifications and here is the final result. I made the baby in just a diaper because I thought it would put my own spin on the ones I found on this site and because there isn't anything cuter than a little baby in a diaper.

This was my first attempt at 3D figure modeling. This is the completed baby. She is made entirely out of MMF. I like the results and this definitely makes me want to PLAY with the MMF some more!

For this cake, I scanned the napkin that matched the baby shower decor, cropped, edited and added my own background and matching yellow border, with polka dots. Then printed on an edible image sheet.

This was one I made for my ex's new wife. I used the plate from the shower theme and projected it, then embellished it a bit.

Was intended to be a rattle, but got tired after baking a golf themed sheet cake the same day. Was french vanilla with raspberry filling and VERY tasty.

This was a cake I did for a friend at church. I did it pretty quick and it is not one of my better cakes, that's for sure! I do however like the overall look of the cake. The parents-to-be LOVED the little bear and wanted to save it in the freezer and give it to their daughter on her 1st b-day. I told them that I would bake her a fresh cake in a year instead. Thanks for looking!

I did this cake for a friend's baby shower. I learned a lot about fondant, especially to bring extra. And I learned not to place a cake in sunlight because by the time it came to serve it, the arm had fallen off. 3-D bear pan on top of a 1/2 sheet.

This is a clothesline cake I made for my sister-in-law's shower. I copied the clothesline off of her shower invitations. I am really happy with it, I hope she will be too!

I saw something similar on here and decided to do it for a baby shower today. This cake took about 4 days to do and fed 100-120 people. The sheet cake on bottom is marble, the blocks are with chocolate or vanilla and it is iced with almond buttercream. The bear is a cake and the booties are white chocolate. The blocks either have a picture (bottle, booties, hat, onesie, bib, ball, heart, flower, or rattle) and the letter's of the babies name "Taylor". The front blocks say Welcome Taylor.
