This is my first attempt at cake decorating! It is a quarter sheet chocolate with bc icing and fondant booties. I owe Cakery a big THANK YOU for the inspiration for this one! The mom-to-be seen a pic of her cake and I tried my best to base the design from that. Mine isn't near as good as Cakery's but we were happy with the outcome! Thank you Cakery and CC!!!

Cake for my nephew Jack's baby shower... yes, nephew. Ultrasound was obviously incorrect. What a surprise! Each tier is 4 layers of alternated dark chocolate and strawberry cake with strawberry filling. Covered in pink MMF with MMF accents. Dark chocolate "It's A Girl!" topper... lol!!! Can't wait until he grows up and sees his shower pics!

My first pregnant belly cake. I used a Wilton ball pan for the belly and cupcakes for the boobs (not sure why I did nipples - it must be because I just finished breastfeeding and they were on my mind?!?!) Not as hard as I first thought however getting it on to the cake without wrecking it completely was a little tricky. And some of my finishes are a little rough but working on it!

This was my first attempt at a topsy turvy cake, not my best cake after a four hour drive. I saw a beautiful cake that I tried to copy from this site. Tasted great and learned a lot. I did not stack these till I got there, but still was a challenge. Most of the ladies thought that the cake ended up looking like this because of the road trip. I had to explain that I meant to do this.....

This was my second attempt in two-tier after 2 years... came out pretty good, ribbon used for border, special scrapbooking stickers used for stork and balloons. Elephant was make of 50/50 thanks to aines2 (on youtube)...cubes are gumpaste, along with banner and bottle. Still need help with cake boards. The toughest part of this cake was that it was red velvet and I was concerned about the color seeping thru the white but it all worked out! :)

I wondered when the day would come when I'd be asked to asked to make the darling preggers figurine for the top of a cake. PinkCakeBox is a great inspiration! Thanks.

I was asked to make this apple to copy the sonogram pictures of the baby rubbing an eye and yawning. She also wanted the baby in a pink dress and holding a teddy bear to go along with the theme of the shower and to go along with the cake that is in my photos. So this is what I came up with.

The order was for a butterfly garden theme. so this is what I came up with. This was the first time I ever used the wilton spray can paint. I didnt have time to make the icing pink. I thought it worked very well! I will use it again! The butterfly's are scrap-book 3D, then there is two ribbons and babies. I sprinkled the top with edible glitter.
