This is my 1st time trying this idea that had been brewing in my head. Found these cute 4" melanine pots and had every intent to use them for bouquets but decided to try this. I made half sports ball and attached to a board. Pre iced it and then covered it in Chocolate petinice. Used ribbon and attached in middle with toothpick. Star tip 21 for green and pink accents and tip 10 for dotted edges around ribbon. Also used some 4mm silver dragees in green stars. Accents were baby pins & floral pic

Thank you to all of the people who's cakes gave me this idea. The yellow shows up brighter in the pic than it really is. Iced in BC with MMF accents and painted with pearl and sparkle dust.

Pound cake with vanilla icing. Fondant decorations, gumpaste/fondant lettering that's powdered with luster dust. I even dusted the ballerina! haha! Too cute :)

Here is a cake due for tomorrow;-) I am very pleased with the way it came out;-) I have been working on my roses. And worked with the template for the booties! Everything is edible.

I did this cake to enter into our local fair (1of 3). Covered in royal icing with gumpaste daisies. I painted the stems on with gel color thinned down with rum and finished the cake off with a spraying of white sparkle luster dust.

This was my very first baby shower cake! The baby and the bassinette were completely hand molded out of fondant and detailed with royal icing. The cake was a white almond sour cream cake and the top tier was filled with a fresh raspberry filling.

I made this cake for my sister's shower... it was based off of her crib bedding, which had patches of pink and white stripes/dots/floral. Cake was WASC with raspberry filling, cake is iced in bc with fondant accents. I "cheated" on the tissue paper and the tiny pearls on the A, and the lid is a styrofoam dummy.

This was for a baby shower last month. It took FOREVER to put all those stars on, I don't know what I was thinking. It was white cake with bc. Making the white chocolate toppers was fun, though!

This is a 12x18" sheet cake. It is 1/2 choc. and 1/2 WASC. Almond buttercream icing. The idea comes from the 1994 Wilton year book.

These were made for my niece, the large is french vanilla with raspberry filling, the middle is chocolate fudge with whipped chocolate ganache, and the small is a yellow pound cake with strawberry filling. The accents are fondant and gumpaste except for the ribbon along the bottom of each cake.

This is a baby shower cake I made. It was a white cake with my secret "canolli' cake filling recipe. It is covered with pink fondant and the ribbon, bows, and flowers are also made from fondant.

This was for my niece's first birthday - white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. I used a piece of clipart as a guide for the butterflies, and added a vine and drop flowers around the sides of the large cake.

This is a baby shower cake I made for my co-worker's wife who is expecting her first girl. She has been shopping like crazy since she found out she was having a girl so we thought this would be an appropriate cake. It is lemon cake with lemon filling and bc icing. The baby and details are MMF. The design is from the Wilton 2007 Yearbook ("Buggy of Bargains" - also on the wilton website). The design cracked me up when I first saw it. I followed the design except for adding more detail to the cell phone

Brownie cake covered in faintly marbled fondant (pink with a hint of yellow) with fondant accents. Baby is from a mold. For a very special friend who just had her second baby. I got a lot of inspiration of CC, the cake kind of built itself as I went along.

2 tiered, 6" & 7" round all fondant cake. The booties were so fun to make! The center of the daisies are pink fondant buttons but did not show well in the pictures.

This was my first attempt at a cake for a baby shower. It turned out better than I expected. I used strawberry cake so when they cut into it, it would be pink! They really liked it.
