Two stacked 9"x13" cakes (half banana and half chocolate) iced and decorated in bc with the DecoPac Little Peoples Noah's Ark Signature cake kit. Such a cute kit and you can keep the animals and the top of the ark for the child to play with! It is for my husband's 3rd cousins baptism this weekend.

I made this cake very simply for my daughter's first birthday. It is to match the animal crackers. I used the pre-made animal heads and tried to match the rest. I put the years on the top to represent her birthday.

my oldest nephew decided to turn his b'day cake into a funny challenge for me. he wanted a rubber chicken cake. took about 2 hours to make. the base is devils food cake, icing is whipped cream, and the fondant is mmf. (I ran out of box stuff and had the stuff for mmf on hand, so i decided to try it. family loves it!) head wings and feet are sculpted mmf, body is sculpted cake. it was priceless to see the look on my family's face when they saw it!!

I had a hard time with the palm trees b/c the palms are all made out of royal icing and they kept breaking on me. The rocks are fondat and the flowers are roayl icing. The rest is buttercream on vinilla cake with cream cheese in the middle. All in all I still liked the way this cake came out.

These were inspired by Adven68's wonderful jungle animal cupcakes. Thanks Adven68 for your help with them!! The monkeys are all fondant. Birthday girl gets the one with the party hat. Mom said her daughter liked Curious George...these don't really look like him, but it's a monkey!

My version of Boween's barnyard celebration cake....Fist time doing a 3d cake, not too hard, i glued a plastic support rod to a cake board and stacked the cakes onto the rod for added support...Body was baked in a pyrex bowl, and the head is the sports ball pan...buttercream w/fondant accents. Lots of fun, and the bday boy loved it!! TFL

The parents own a graphic design firm, and designed their own darling custom birthday invitations. They asked if I could transform the 2-D invitation into a 3-D cake. Half chocolate, half white, iced in buttercream, all fondant decorations. Barn and silo are fondant-covered rice krispie treats.

It was a blast to make, but I didn't start it until midnight last night. Pulled an all-nighter save for a 3-5 am nap. I'm too OLD to be pulling such stunts! Haven't been worth a pip all day.

I made a local type bouquet to give to our realtor for Christmas. A popular thing here are Loggerhead turtles (the mascot even for the school) I used thinned royal icing to make the turtle bumps. I traced the pattern using a food safe pencil and then filled in alternating bumps. i just waited until the 1st group set before I piped the second group and so on. The effect was that the turtle looks bumpy liek a real loggerhead. Next time I will make addt'l so I can try paint to give color effect
