HI

This is my puppy cake! Yellow cake iced in buttercream. Nose, eyes, mouth, tongue are all fondant.

Please give me some criticism. I did this one for practice but have an order for one on Thursday. Please tell me how I can improve.

Thanks for looking!

This was my very first sculpted and fondant cake. It was very time consuming. First I carved the shape out of a 13x9 cake. I then crumb coated it with buttercream and then covered it with wilton fondant.(I really disliked this fondant) All of the details like the eyes, spikes, legs, etc. are modeled out of fondant. I then sprayed the cake with purple spray color. Next I painted the scales in green with brush on color. Then I covered the cake with purple and green edible glitter.

Everything in this picture is edible except the animals. I was trying to make my own animals but I just didn't have enough time. Ark is made from a marble cake and covered in fondant. The ramp is white chocolate. The water is blue butter cream. The sand is yellow/brown sugar. The pebbles and big rocks you see are all edible and purchased from a bulk food store. It was a huge hit at the party.

My son and a couple of neighbor kids wanted me to make a cake. The deal was, I bake the cake - they decorate it! There were three kids, age 10, age 8 and age 7. I think they did a pretty good job on what they titled, "The Boonies Cake".

Thanks to Keonicakes for this idea. This cake cracked me up so I made this for a gentleman that was leaving our company who had worked in our wildlife/fisheries dept. What a great idea Keonicakes had! I plan on making a skunk for the next person leaving and put "smell ya later"!

This is my first 3D cake. At first it looked like a Koala thena Racoon and then a Panda. It was a funny process for the bear. I guess I will keep practicing. For now I think this one is cute.

I made this for one of my friends who had a little girl turning 1. Party theme was baby einstein....obviously. This is all white cake with lemon flavored buttercream dream for the filling and crusting buttercream ll for the icing and grass. I must say that those recipes from this site turned out awesome. I had 2 pieces of cake myself. Catepillar was made withe the Wilton sports ball pan and I cut out fondant for the face pieces, little legs, and the sign.

I was asked to design the cake like the napkin. Gum paste bow - mmf cross ribbon - color flow animals and the cake is frosted in whip cream butter cream. I enjoyed doing this one. I only charged 50.00 I think it worth at lest 75.00. Lot of work went in to this one. Size of cake is 11x15. Thanks for looking.

I got this from "Ladycake"s dolphin cake. I used all piping gel for the dolphin and water. Had a lot of air bubbles. I think I will try "Ladycake"s glaze recipe next time.
