50/50 fondant & gumpaste. I have no idea how to work with this. Just thought I would try after looking on this site. Got to figure out how to prevent the cracks in the figure. Any suggestions?

I made this cake as a surprise for a gentleman who was getting married. As you may have guessed, he is a horse trainer. He went crazy when he saw it. It was my first real sculpted cake.

Hope you like it.

After getting inspiration from the many tiaras @ CakeCentral (not to mention help in the forum) I made my very first tiara and my first pillow cake. I made my own template and used melted Merckens white chocolates and edible pearls fo rthe tiara. Everything else is fondant. I made some mistakes along the way , but if there's anything I've learned in my years of cake decorating, it's how to cover a flaw! (hence, the pink drape) I gave $70 as the price. (It's a 1/2 sheet cut in half and stacked)

This is a repeat of a cake I made in December. Unfortunately, I didn't write down how I made the other and this one was lacking in cake so it is not as tall. Customer still loved it though.

All fondant, the C's were painted on using a home-made stencil and powder color mixed with clear vanilla. Those C's are difficult! They're such an odd shape. It took me forever trying to figure out how to do them before I finally made a decent stencil.

This sandcastle was for a beach themed baby shower. I took inspiration from several cakes I had seen and combined them to make this one. Cake is covered with crushed graham crackers. The tiers are upside down icecream cones. The ones on top are on top of rice crispy treats. The baby girl is all frosting. The umbrella is molded chocolate.
