3D teddy bear cake, sitting on an 11" square chocolate cake for my daughter's 3rd Birhtday (she loves Little Bear from Nick Jr - and fishing!). All buttercream except for fondant fish and reeds, chocolate 'rocks' and piping gel over the water. I had so much fun making this one, the grass/fur tip rocks!!

I created this cake for a little boy's bday and he loved it. As you can see by the design of this cake, it's very easy to make and is also 3D. The spiderman on top of the cake was made out fondant but you can just get a spiderman toy and put it on top of the cake.

First fondant figure. Made a couple of mistakes, but had a lot of fun. Really looks like the guy I modeled after.

I wanted to play with left over MMF and do something creative. It didn't come out that great but it was ok. My neighbor loves starbucks and it happened to be his bday the next day, so I gave it to him.

3d figure. Second one I've done. Messed up her eyelashes and had trouble getting her to stand. Ended up putting skewers through her legs. Dog is modeled after one on this website.

This is a cake that I carved to a 3D Pyramid then covered in fondant. I used granulated sugar tinted tan to make the "sand" covering the fondant, then marbelized blue and white fondant for the Nile river

This was for my son's frog theme birthday. The eyes were hostess snowballs, the hands and feet were fondant, and the tongue was a fruit roll up snack. I put a little plastic bug on the end to make it look real. I also used wilton green spray color, which was easier than making my frosting green.

This was my first attempt at 3D figure modeling. This is the completed baby. She is made entirely out of MMF. I like the results and this definitely makes me want to PLAY with the MMF some more!

Mother called and told me "hey I need a cake for my friend for her birthday..start making it" Few hours later in a mad rush this is what appeared. My first attempt at taking a normal round and carving it! And same w/the choc. frosting..used Choc.Frosting III from here with a minor tweak. haha it was like FUDGE, everyone loved it.

3D cake idea borrowed from here - didn't mold face, but everyone knew who it was. Used ball ban and 10 inch oval cut in half and a toilet paper roll covered in tin foil for neck.

I made this practice cake last October. It is my favorite cake that I have made because it is just cheerful and I think very cute. Used the cake mix extender on this one.

the carriage is buttercream, the baby, blanket and pillow are fondant. for the hood, i rolled out gumpaste, made a lace pattern with a #3 tip, the holes really streched out while it was drying- then I rolled the edge over floral wire for extra support and then dried it over an upside down bowl. I pillared the cake and cut fondant wheels, I coverd where the wheels met the pillars with buttercream flowers. It was a challenge but alot of fun.
