This cake is Chocolate Fudge on the bottom layer and the car, White Almond cake for the middle. The Wiggles signs were done with Color Flow, the squirrel is Chocolate, and the cookies are sugar with an Almond cookie icing. The little 3 yr old it was for was very excited over it and wanted to keep the car in his bedroom.

This is a side view of the cake and shows a few more cookies. The steering wheel is a candy melt, the wheels are Chocolate covered oreos, headlights and taillights are Junior Mints and the winshield is a piece of clear plastic.

This was created for a friend's birthday. It is a 2-;ayer 9 X 13 chocolate fudge cake with dark chocolate ganache filling and chocolate BC frosting on sides. Catfish head and tail were sculpted from a scrap piece of cake covered with grey and white BC with an light overspray of black. Inside of mouth was covered in white fondant and whiskers were 20 gauge wire covered in fondant. Tail was covered in fondant. Very happy with how this turned out--better than the one in my head.

I made this for the execs and staff of our local NBA and WNBA. The sheet cake is chocolate on one side and yellow on the other (I actually poured each batter on one end of the sheet pan and let them meld together in the middle as it baked) and the basketball is a yellow cake. It is iced in buttercream with the jerseys being made of fondant.

This was a groom's cake for my brother's wedding in July. He is a major hunter, including duck hunting. I wish I would've made it bigger as it was tiny compared to the bride's massive cake. He loved it though. I decorated it in our hotel room at 2am in Indiana as we are from Missouri and I spent the whole day before working on the wedding cake.

This cake was made using a vintage Wilton cake pan I found on Ebay. My brother loves Garfield so this was his birthday cake. The cake is chocolate and the icing is chocolate (dark brown stripes) and the orange is peanut butter flavored. He also loves Reese's cups!

This cake is make from cut and carved 9x13 (3 layers). The icing is buttercream and I won't even go into the RED problems! The ladder, windows, books, and fire hose are fondant painted or colored with pens. The letters are royal icing, and the dog, and shield are color flow. My advice on the add ons, make extra and do it well in advance in case they all break. The tires are also fondant, painted. The truck sits up on 4 boards glued together and then glued again to the main board. Thanks for looking

This is the third cake i have made. It's Jack Skellington and I made it for my wifes birthday tomorrow. the base is 2 layer 12 x 14 chocolate that was originally going to be a tombstone, but I never cut due to how much cake would be wasted. His body is 4 layer 4 x 8. His neck is actually a Scott towel roll wrapped in Saran Wrap, buttercream and then fondant. For a head I used the Wilton ball pans. Base is buttercream, everything else is fondant with icing details. I custom made the stand to support his body

Four alternating layers of chocolate and butter yellow, with strawberry filling. Buttercream icing. Real fruit and artificial leaves. The "tail" of the basket is styrofoam since cake would not support the weight of the icing.

3-d Garfield Cake made using marshmallow fondant and a 2 lb bucket of satin ice I had sitting around. I think I used all together probably 3 pounds of fondant! Garfield is sitting on a 9x13 sheet cake. I airbrushed the color on Garfield and his blanket and his wood box he is sleeping in.

All bc icing on cake. Sorry the color looks strange, bad camera. The animals and rocks are chocolate. The big tree and palm fronds are candy clay. The big tree "leaves" didn't quite survive the transport to the party site. The palm trunks are fancy wafers dipped in chocolate bark. First carved/3-d cake, next will be much better as I learned alot. Thanks for looking!

This is a common one on CC, I loved it and had been wanting to give it a try. It was my first paid cake and the customer loved it. It was very fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again. I used the instructions from LISA at http://frostingfun.blogspot.com/

3D dog carved and assembled from a 9X13 French Vanilla cake, iced in buttercream with a real bow for colour. The eyes are fondant with brown M&M's and the nose is fondant. It's supposed to be a Golden Retriever but I'll settle for just the Golden!

Made from part of 9X13 and 4 mini cupcakes at either end. Iced in buttercream. This was added at the last minute as the puppy cake turned out smaller than expected.

This is the cake I made for my husdand's 37th birthday this year. I found this kit at my local cake supply store. The ship is one 9x13 and two small square chocolate cakes. It is frosted in buttercream and the candy "treasure" are his favorite liquor filled chocolates. It was my first 3D cake and it was a lot of fun to make.

I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday!! She loves flowers, it was my first time making gumpaste flowers, it was tons of fun. The cake is just a pound cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. I used crushed oreos for the dirt and fondant for the outside of the flower pot. The butterfly is not edible though, just a store bought silk butterfly.

Hand-carved white and decadent chocolate cakes with buttercream icing. MMF animals, stars and smokestack. Popcorn "smoke", oreo wheels. SO FUN!!!
