This was my very first sculpted and fondant cake. It was very time consuming. First I carved the shape out of a 13x9 cake. I then crumb coated it with buttercream and then covered it with wilton fondant.(I really disliked this fondant) All of the details like the eyes, spikes, legs, etc. are modeled out of fondant. I then sprayed the cake with purple spray color. Next I painted the scales in green with brush on color. Then I covered the cake with purple and green edible glitter.

I made this for my son's 4th Birthday. Not perfect, but he will be so very excited about it! I did the 10" cakes in Chocolate and the arms are in Lemon. I also did a small side cake that is Lemon. It just has a spiderweb on it. I used the instructions posted on a blog. It was great!! Thanks everyone!

I made this cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday last month - she loves mermaids at the moment. The water is made from a large lamington sized chocolate cake cut in tw covered with chocolate buttercream ,draped with blue fondant. The sand is crushed biscuits. The rock is a pudding bowl chocolate cake carved into a rock shape and covered with buttercream. The mermaid is made from fondant and the torso and head are modelling fondant. The seahorses are made from granulated sugar pressed into a sandpit mould

My version of the 3D Spiderman. I have to give credit to this website http://frostingfun.blogspot.com/ for giving instructions. The head is a round styrofoam ball. I couldn't find a wig head. The cakes are 8" for the body and 6" for the arms.

Here's the molded fruits and veggies I promised to upload that my SIL done for me. I'm truly blessed to have a SIL like her, not only can I count on her with her new found abilities, but I'm blessed because it was she who introduced me to her brother whom I married and remain beyond happy. She done a wonderful job, didn't she? I was just amazed and very thankful to her.

This was my Christmas cake. I had a snow theme going on. Its' white cake and buttercream with fondant covering. This was my first attempt at cake carving and it was soooo much fun. Unfortunately, it settled a bit unfer all that fondant and my dowel poked out the top. If you look closely, you can see where I tried to camoflauge it.

Chocolate dome cake spider with legs made using swiss cake rolls. The spider hovers over a cupckae web. Using a wilton cake decorating cake stand that tilts, I was able to angle the spider over the web for a cool effect.

Mommy and baby duck in tub. The candle is in the mini duck cake which I cut off and put on a little plate just for the birthday boy to blow out the candle and then devour. I was able to make a mini duck by molding aluminum foil around a rubber ducky in 2 parts and then baking cake in it.

Back side of previously uploaded cake. Was one of my earlier cakes, had alot of fun making it resemble my sister and brother-in-law. The car is a cheat from the Party Store the theme of the party was, "Do You Remember 1955".Ached from all the stars though, this cake made me learn more piping so I wouldn't have to do that many stars ever again.
