This is a new waive or new thing for little girls. They are now celebrating "Tres Anos" like the quinceaneras. All whipped love to use the ribbon.

I decided to bake a cake for Chinese New Year's at the very last moment for a dinner party (baked and decorated with barely enough time to let the cake cool completely). Covered in vanilla frosting and decorated with fondant flowers and lettering (chinese for Good Fortune), branches painted with colored royal icing.

Chinese New Year dragon. All iced in buttercream, the dragon I hand drew and then airbrushed it in. Hopefully it isn't too scary for the kids that wanted it!

obviously for Lindsey's 21st birthday. the shot glasses had a $20 bill in one and a $1 bill in the other, the champange glasses are filled with piping gel. I think this cake would also be a fun design for a New Year's party.

Ok, I've never done a contest before and I'm hoping I at least meet the theme... 30 Years of Mastodon Art & Science Fairs. I sculpted a Mastodon head from fondant and then accented with our state flower the dogwood. I''m sure I'm not botanically totally 100% accurate but that's why I entered as an armature! :) It's a triple layer, two tier, WASC cake with Raspberry Filling and marshmallow fondant accents! Wish me luck!

Cake was designed for my daughters co-worker for his Leap Year 14th birthday . The frog was modeled from modeling chocolate, the rocks were candy covered marshmallows,(coating was made by melting white almond bark and peanut butter chips). The water lilies were made from gum paste, the water in the pond is butter cream icing air brushed. The cake originally had a miniature bear done as a frog but it seemed more for a child so I kinda threw the frog together at the last minute.
