This was my wedding cake. There is actually a real rose bouquet that went on the top tier but I don't have those pictures back yet. THis is just the before photo. It was a 14" square bottom with rounds going up. I loved the color contrast and was great for my fall wedding. Doing my own cake actually helped me relax a little.

6". 8" 10" dark chocolate ganache with apple red ribbon around each base. Fresh gerbera daisies. I would love to hear some constructive words on how I would be able to get frosting flawless.
THANKS!

This was one of several I've been working on using MMF and new luster dusts from CC. I absolutely LOVE the new antique bronze. The picture does NOT do it justice-it is a gorgeous color! Bow and pearls all MMF with a little gumtex.

All BC, w/ Super Pearl dust on the dots. Top and bottom are white w/ raspberry fill, middle is carrot w/ cream cheese. Bride's florist moved, so I did the flowers...be kind as I do cakes, not flowers! ;)

This was the only picture I got of this cake. My camera started taking blurred pictures after this. This was my first square wedding cake, I found it to be somewhat of a tricky task due to the new crisco. I WANT MY OLD CRISCO BACK!!!

I've had struggles... but this cake drove me to the very edge of insanity. It is because of this cake... I'm not doing cakes in paradise anymore. (Just say No!) Cake board peeping out. Naughty fondant. If I could've spanked it... it would've been a bright pink cake that day. Chocolate, red velvet, and white almond sour cream cakes. Cream cheese, blackberry, and bc filling. The table that it was standing on wasn't level... I had no more fight left in me and so it was... laughing it's head off in my face.

I made this cake for two of the most fantastic people I know. The bride chose a very simple but elegant style cake and I loved making it. Thanks to everyone that helped me the tricks to baking a large, square cake. The top tier is strawberry cake with white chocolate filling , middle is dark chocolate fudge with chocolate BC filling, and the bottom tier is Italian Cream cake with white chocolate filling. All tiers were iced in BC and covered in Fondant. The lillies and leaves are fondant/gumpaste.

I'm proud of this one : )
Thanks to tutugirl for the idea.
First time using chocolate fondant and first time successfully making RED fondant!!!!!
I didn't have enough money to buy gum paste mix so I made the "P" out of fondant. I was so worried it would bend or fall apart I redid it with a wire skeleton.
I loved making this one though, I felt like I was painting a canvas.

My first wedding cake! And...it was purchased, too! She wanted a really simple cake and found a picture on-line that she wanted me to replicate. I think it turned out well for my first.

The bride sent me a picture from a magazine, asked me to do exactly the same cake, and to make it "spectacular". At the beginning she wanted the basis to measure 60*60!!!! cm. In the end we settled for a cake measuring 40*40 cm, with the rest of the tiers measuring 30*30 and 20*20. Rolled fondant and gum paste flowers.

3 tier square cake. Iced in BC. Real ribbon and BC dots. I think the florist went a little crazy with the flowers, and I don't know why she chose those flowers with that ribbon. To each his own I guess.

This was actually my first real decorated cake. The friend that was supposed to make our cake had an emergency and couldn't do it so she sent me what I needed and talked me through it. I was very pleased with my job.

Chocolate cake with alternating fillings (cream cheese in the chocolate bc squares and choc bavarian in the white bc rounds). Brown fondant bow. Had some trouble, but the bride and groom liked it (and didn't even notice the few issues that I had).

Made my own wedding cake. Thanks to Aine2 for her terrific tutorials, and inspiration. Not as fabulous as hers-but my family guests got a kick out of it! It's us (bride n groom)-and two daughters-even the cats & dogs!
Bottom layer was butter choc cake with choc ganache filling, top two teirs were WASC with raspberry filling. All covered with MMF - (I flavored the fondant on the top two teirs with raspberry extract - mmm, mmm!). I normally don't like fondant - but that was yummy!

My first attempt at a wedding cake for my cousin. Three tier square with fondant, with white satin ribbons and pearl trim. Fresh flower decoration. It was for an outside wedding on the hottest day of the year and did sweat a bit. I thought I was going to lose it ;)

This was a dummy cake I made with our wedding pic on top. That was the first pic we did with our printer with the sheets of frosting, took some practice, but I think we got it! Thanks for looking!
