Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream, fondant decorations, graham cracker 'dirt'

This was my first ever attempt to model anything besides playdough cookies for my 3 year old. The figure and veggies are fondant. Of course the dirt is oreo. It is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I had so much fun and boy did I learn ALOT! This is the 3rd cake I have attempted and I think I am addicted.

One of two cakes made for a VBS wityh the them of Fruit of the Spirit. Barn is gum paste, animals, fruit/veggies are fondant. Cake is french vanilla w/ vanilla icing.

Garden cake for my father's 70th birthday. Carrot cake with buttercreme and covered in marzipan. All decoration is made of marzipan as well. Tomatoes, potatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, zuchinis, beans, peas, bell pepper, pumpkins, salad, carrots, rhubarb and apples.

Cake is vanilla with vanilla buttercream. Decorations are fondant and the dirt is made of dark chocolate grated with a zester. Not always happy with my cakes but this is one of the first that I really like!! TFL

Cake was 2 red velvet layers with 1 white chocolate cheesecake layer in the middle. Frosted with vanilla cream cheese frosting. Posts, sign, and some veggies made from GP, others from fondant. Tomatoes were Gobstoppers with a bit of green fondant on top. Dirt was crushed up Oreos. Thanks for all the great inspiration on here :)

My nephew turned 16, so he wanted a pick up, he loves farming, and this is a replica of his hat--took a photo of the hat then printed the edible image. I was not happy with the truck--it should have been longer.

Chocolate cake covered in rich chocolate frosting and decorarated with vegetables made from royal icing and painted with food colourings. A replica of my husbands vegetable patch.... down to the broken electric kettle he used to water he seeds. :-)

I made this for a Crock Pot Party we did as a Mom's Night Out. Cake is 6 inch rounds, wrapped in fondant. Top edge and cord are fondant. The food is all made from different flavors of Tootsie Rolls. The sauce is piping gel tinted brown.

I made this cake for my cousin & his wife for their 9th wedding anniversary. They have 5 children & one on the way. They have the most amazing garden every summer so this is the idea I came up with. crumbled cookies for "dirt", gumpaste/fondant elements

My Dad loves to garden. Growing up we always had a vegetable garden every year, and for the past 10 years he's been unable to grow one in AK. He's retiring and moving back to a garden-friendly climate and looking forward to having a garden again. I'm still a beginner, but had so much fun making this cake for his retirement party. Thanks to all those on the site who have made garden cakes. I definitely referred to them for help.

Chocolate WASC with chocolate oreo BC and covered in fondant. Haunted house is made of RKT and covered in fondant, everything else is fondant. Fence is chocolate BC. TFL

I thought it wouldn't work out and it didn't. The raspberries inside were too juicy and nearly dissolved the fondant. At least it tasted good :)

Made with marzipan, the fruits and vegetables here took a long time to make. The basket is made with pound cake and the outside of marzipan. I got the instruction from an old Wilton year book
