This my first try at this. It 's all b/c icing except the bow is gumpaste. I think it came out okay for the first one, but it was definitely a learning experience. The birthday was very pleased.

I love this cake pan. I followed the picture provided on this one, but I've
done this 3 different times, 3 different ways. You can really let your
imagination go with this one.

This cake was for 4 Girl Scout Leaders, one was having a b-day and
the other 3 did a 3 Day Cancer walk. We were having a Leaders
meeting, so I thought, one cake and it gets them all! :-)

Thanks to cake central for information and inspiration on making this cake. Chosen by the bride and groom and adapted by me. Top tier is chocolate sponge with strawberry buttercream and strawberry jam, middle is vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream and bottom tier is chocolate sponge with chocolate fudge filling. Not as easy to execute as you think it will be!!!

Thank you so much SLK for your Dora cake photo. As soon as my niece saw it, she had to have one. Here is my rendition of your awesome design. The look on my 5 year old niece's face, when she saw her cake, was priceless! Iced and decorated with MMF.

First time making these butterflies. Love them. Fun to make. The gal having the baby loves butterflies and was having a girl. Tried this new way of showing pic in Picasa. Thought it was a cool way to show the different angles.

My very first ever madhatter!!! Had been dying to try one and had been trying to talk people into it for ages and then finally!
2 tier madhatter (top tier two stacked cakes) inspired by a brilliant decorator I saw somewhere and wanted to recreate it with a little bit of a difference

This was for a birthday and was quite unsure of the colour selection but really happy with the outcome I named it the citrus because it reminds me of lemon lime and orange!

3rd dummy cake I made for the special reception area of a Willy Wonka junior production my daughter was in. The director gave me a copy of this picture, which I copied, which came from edith meyer's website. It's a beautiful design, and I think it came out okay compared to hers. Unfortunately, I ran out of the same shade of RI to fix the breakage that happened on the way, and I ended up having to use white -- :(. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.

6" & 8" topsy turvey. The bottom tier was made with the diamond impression mat and diamond cut outs, the cards were all made of gumpaste, and the tea cup and tea pot were made of fondant. The base was made with a million fondant squares! :)
(the mom had her own ribbon she wanted to put around the base, that's why it's naked ;-)

2 tiered tilted cake covered in chocolate and white fondant. The chocolate M was much too large for this cake, my grandaughter is in marching band, and plays the sax, so I did musical theme with piano keys and choc. instruments.

This cake was for a quinceanera and was my second stacked cake, my first topsy turvy, and my first using wired decorations. The two flowers are fondant and there are a couple of fondant butterflies (might not be able to see them). The heat was making the butterflies soft so only a few got added. The sizes were 6", 9", and 12" and the flavors were banana, Kahlua Caramel, and WASC. Thanks to all the CC'ers who answered questions for me about this type of cake and to pinkcakebox.com for the inspiration.

The flying butterflies and dragonflies are not edible but the butterflies attached to the cake and black roses on top are made from 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. Bridal shower cake for a goth chick. I had to make the bottom tier unangled because they used pieces of cake as favors and had to fit into a short box. Rats. TFL!

Did this for a friends mother who was turning 65. It was pouring rain and the MMF just wouldn't cooperate. It's likely that I will never do another topsy turvey cake again...
Thanks for looking
