This cake was made for two people, the bottom tier is for a 30th birthday with a kiwi theme (The man is a brit who has recently immigrated to NZ) and the top tier is for his mums 60th birthday. Mum had a mixed of range of things from the Leicester football logo to a scout badge.

I am very nervous about presenting this cake as the mum is a cake decorator! :)

Maple white chocolate & cheesecake lovers cakes w/ fondant. Any suggestions on how to keep the ribbon straight? I used royalicing to glue it. Same thing happened on my other topsy turvy. This was my 2nd.

3 layer 9 inch & 3 layer 6 inch Tirimasu and chocolate covered in fondant. I liked the look of this cake because it looked like the top layer was sliding off the bottom.

Pink Poodle was the theme for this birthday celebration! What better way to design it than with a Topsy Turvey cake. (My 1st) Poodle was made out of mixture 50/50 fondant/gumpaste. Entire cake covered in homemade mm fondant. Top adorned with fondant balls attached to wires. Name and #2s were made in advance then attached at the end.

Chocolate fudge cake with butter cream (white) icing and choclate syrup icing (recipe by mohara on CC). The tan colour is the only fondant used. Wires were placed in a floral spike, and surrounded by dried triangles of chocolate icing. Cake crumbs were sprinked inside the "explosion" along with more icing balls, and finally topped with edible gold flakes. I added the topper on location. This was downright scarey to deliver (45 minute drive) on frozen bumpy roads. It was for a surprize party, and I didn't want to surprize them with a cake that toppled over!

I tried topsy turvy whimsical cake but it didn't work out very well. All mmf with some tylose powder for the curlies and the hearts on top with wires. Black lines are royal icing. I need to learn how to do these better. I didn't account for the cutting down the sides and bottom of the cake so each layer didn't fit in the holes, the holes were too big. Learn from my mistakes!! I only did 2 layers, 16, 10, 6 inch cakes. Inspired by splash2splat - hers is way better than mine!

This was for a sweet 16. They had a snowflake theme with blue and white as their colors. I love the way it came out. I had trouble with the middle tier but coved it up with the diamonds... thank goodness. I had the label say Happy Sweet 16 Katelyn and I used her b-day as the barcode. They said they cried when they saw the cake and it was the hit of the party. I am doing the same cake (only the top 2 layers) next week in new colors. If anyone has an opinion of the colors feel free to share. It is for a bridal shower and she wants it colorful. Thanks for looking.
