Client requested a "Cake for Two" (6") playful beach themed sand castle cake for 50th anniversary. I asked if a crab couple would be fun and she agreed! It was fun to make and easy. Chocolate Shells, Fondant Critters and Brown Sugar Sand. Top tier is a ice cream cone.

The invitation for this cake was adorable!! (Shown enlarged in photo) The animals and the writing are done in royal icing. I got it a little too thin for the animals, but not too bad. The rest is BC.

My little boys over the summer kind of played Tag with a Little Turtle, that they affectionately named "SAM" in my Mothers backyard...We would find him and play with him andnail polished their names on his shell in bright pink nail polish...Then Sam would disappear, and reappar. His last appearance was when my Mothers Neighbor handed him back to us from "over the fence," pink polish still intact! So, as a Birthday gift, I made her a SAM cake for her Birthday a couple weeks later. She was totally surprised!

Made for a little explorer! Hand painted green turtle with Diego figurine. I tried to make it as realistic as possible, except for the colour, which I made bright green because it was a child's cake. She was very excited to see it.

This was for two of my dearest friends and myself's September bday celebration. Another of our friends helped with the fishies and shells. The 12" is chocolate cake and the 9" and 6" are white cake. Fondant covered cakes with all fondant decorations. Onother fun cake to do. There is a little bulging on the fondant, but I still love this cake!!!

The customer just wanted the baby einstein characters around a tiered cake (with matching cupcakes). Funfetti 10, 8, 3" layers....the 3" was the 'smash' cake for the birthday girl. Buttercream icing with colorflow and gumpaste accents. I'll upload pics of the sides as well so you can see all the colorflow pieces....it was my first try at colorflow and I had some cracking issue, but overall, I love this technique! Thanks for looking!

From a Betty Crocker cake decorating booklet, these cakes were made for a co-worker who collects turtle figurines. Each cake is 12 cupcakes frosted together. I also tinted the cake green.

I made this chocolate cake with buttercream frosting for my brother's 4th birthday. As you can tell he LOVES snakes, turtles and frogs! So I added these plastic toys as toppers. I had a 3 foot long chewy candy snake, and wrapped around the bottom of the cake.

I was inspired by a cake I found here. I used the rice krispy head (which was a little harder than I imagined and also took a whole lot more than I expected). Then the rest is buttercream and mmf. Thanks!

This is a cake I made for my husband's birthday. He loves to snowboard and has always liked turtles so I decided to try to make a turtle on a snowboard. Only it didn't quite turn out like I pictured. I made the turtle out of rice krispy treats and have since learned to let them cool a bit before sculpting with. Being warm, they squished down so it looks more like a dinosaur than a turtle. And then I didn't take the time I should have so it doesn't really look like a snowboard, either. But that's okay.

Many thanks to srmaxwell for the inspiration of this cake. This is the very first cake that I attempted to decorate. My husband is responsible for baking the cake and getting the shape just right. I decided to make this cake for my graduation from vet school in may 06. Again thanks to srmaxwell this was a great design!
