I baked the volcano in my metal mixing bowl. I dumped lots of buttercream on top. Some of which dribbled on the side and Voila! An erupting volcano. I placed some of my son's toy soldiers as per his request. His teachers loved it.

This was a cake I did for a friend - both their sons have birthdays in March so they had a joint party - the older one is 3, the younger one was turning 1.

First attempt at color flow, they turned out great. I made 2 of each and neither one broke. Cake overall is not that exciting. I didn't do much to it after making the color flow pieces.

I actually made this for a baby shower. All the decorations are chocolate, some molded...some drawn out by hand on parchment paper. The only things that are not edible are the tractor and the truck.

12 inch squre chocolate cake, buttercream and fondant covered. Toy Box is 6x6x6 chocolate cake with fondant sides. Sides have royal icing run out pictures of fireman sam, Buzz Lightyear, Fairy and a boat. Soldier, Bear and Kite are all fondant. Cake was for a joint party for 3 friends turning 3 and they all had favourite toys. I tried to design the cake so that each childs name was in front of their boxside when straight on (I hope you know what I mean!).

This was for my son's 5th birthday. I found many great cowboy ideas on here, but didn't want to make use black or red (for the bandana look) so I used Woody's clothes for inspiration instead. Cake is butter yellow with mini chocolate chips, bavarian cream filling, BC and almond MMF. Toys are part of a collector's set. Thanks for looking!

This is for a 3yo girl that loves toy story. I made Buzz and Woody from fondant and a little Potato-head with parts that you could actually put in the holes. It was scratch light pound cake and vanilla buttercream.
The etch-a-sketch looked great, and I loved doing this cake, but it was alot of work!

Here are some stuffed animal cookies I made as part of a large order for a baby shower. Some of the animals were on the invitation. Sorry the pic is blurry! I don't know what I did to my camera :(!

The mom brought me the toys and the cake is three 6x3" rounds stacked high (cardboard and dowels in between with a center dowel). One of those things where a 4 year old's only request is a vague and bizarre "really tall with a house on top." Little girl was speechless, I think we nailed it :)

I made this for my grandson who turned 3 yesterday. He's totally into Toy Story, especially Woody and Buzz. The bed, toy box and night stand are cake covered in fondant. Everything but the toys is made from either fondant or gumpaste.

All buttercram with buttercream transfers n top and edible image strips along the sdes. All together there were 28 different cartoon characters on this cake! I wish I had my digital camera back then so the detail would show up well. 35mm Just didn't capture all the hard work that went into this one.

Chocolate oatmeal cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Last minute order asking for a dinosaur birthday theme for a 4-year-0ld boy. Found cute little critters and trees at my cake supply store and did the edible image off clipart on the net. Corkscrew candles added a little zip. LOL

this is a baby shower that was based on a little girls room. The cake are different flavors. There should be four cakes but my friend and I were working on this cake and at the time I left she was working on the last one But I took this picture anyway. The customer wanted a very plain and simple design on each cake. We used kids toys and decorated them with tule and lace to make the baby rooms' scene.

Hello,
it's my son's birthday, he is two years old now.
And i made this cake on top of the tractor.
It's an idea for those who don't know what to give to a birthday boy, isn't it?!!
The cake is a orange-chocolate cake with icing on top and little sugar piglets, filled with orange filling.
greetings,
Eros

This is a 6" white cake with BC frosting. All decorations are fondant. It was made for a friend to take to a cake walk at their church's fund raiser. It was the first cake to be selected!
