This was for a baby shower for a boy. The hostess allowed me to do whatever and this was the result. I had such fun creating it. It is a small cake serving only 10-12. The toy box slips over the cake.

Based on the Handy Manny Disney cartoon. All the tools; the saw, hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, were made from fondant. There is a pencil and eraser and some nuts & bolts in the back side of the toolbox. The toolbox is a chocolate cake w/buttercream frosting and the base tier is yellow w/buttercream frosting/filling.

made this for my sister's baby shower - had already made a belly cake for her so i needed a different idea. the verse on the "blanket" at side of cake was a big hit - "Before you were conceived, I wanted you. The train is carved from a 1/4 sheet of white cake with strawberry filling. It is frosted in buttercream with fondant accents. The engineer's hat is a 3" smash cake covered with painted buttercream.

Used inspiration from Dixiegal01 and Ishi to come up with this cake design. First time using homemade fondant (used Macs Mom's BC flavored fondant recipe)... which was so much better tasting than bought fondant! Son loved the cake.

First off, a big thanks to cakemom24 for the idea!! Bottom layer 8", then 6" then hand cut 4". It was for my nephew's third b-day, he loved it!

A cake based on a Brazilian christian cartoon called "Diante do Trono" where all the characters are toys. Everything on the cake is edible, the figurines are all made with gumpaste, and the treehouse is made with rice crispie.

This was a last minute cake I did for a good friend of mine. Her cousin was supposed to make her a cake and backed out on Thursday, the party was for Saturday. The toys and plaque are gumpaste, the bow is fondant as you can see from how "unsmooth" it is the cake is covered in BC. There was supposed to be a third (middle) tier, but do to the short notice I didn't have time to get SPS so I used dowels and yep, they shifted and that tier was trashed. I tell you, I'm gonna have good karma after this one! TFL!

My entry in the Great American Cake Show. Made from fondant mixed with Tylose, used royal icing or chocolate for the glue, on the box, depending on what I was attaching. All figures were hand modeled also using Satin Ice fondant with tylose. TFL

This cake was white with a lemon/almond icing. It was themed by colors and each block represents the colors. The customer also wanted specific toppers, all of which made it on the cake. She had said at one point she wanted a small set of blocks that spelled baby but then said never mind. well, I really couldn't wait to make this cake, and when I got going I just couldn't stop... so I made the baby blocks also. Ok so I would love to hear what you all think she paid for this cake... anyone?????

I made this cake for my grandson's 3rd birthday. It was inspired by many cakes I saw here, Thanks! The bed is the cake, all of the rest (except army men) is fondant & gumpaste. This was my first experience w/ gumpaste.

I wanted to step out of the normal "penis cake" for this party and this is what I came up with...all "toys" are made from gumpaste. Zebra print is alayer of black fondant, and I hand cut the zebra print w/ a stencil on white fondant and layered them( thank you to Lauren Shephard(my WMI) for that tip. Thank you to TexasSugar and umgrzfn for tips on making it a "platform bed". Cake is (my all time favorite) Chocolate torted w/ strawberry filling!!! Hope you like it

I made this for my nephew's 3rd birthday. I made fondant heads of the characters, but decided against using them so I could reuse the design. Cake is a 9x13 cut in half and stacked. Buttercream with fondant accents/letters.

This was for a first birthday party. The theme matches his room decor, and his initials are XLS. The toys are gumpaste; the lid is a piece of foamcore covered with fondant. Chocolate fudge cake with vanilla BC. He probably looked like the newest member of the Blue Man Tour when he was done with this cake!!

A chocolate sheet cake iced with butter cream and covered with marshmallow fondant. The Bakugan's logo was candy melts piped by hand and the Bakugan figurine was made out of sugar paste and hand sculpted to replica Bakugan's toy.

The characters and toys on the board are made from fondant and gumtex. The lid to the treasure chest is fondant. The cake is iced with buttercream. Real toys are inside the treasure chest cake. When the kids visit our house I have a treasure chest and when they leave to go home they get a toy. I made a cake look-a-like treasure chest for my 1 year old cousin's birthday. It was good fun!

French vanilla cake with buttercream icing; fondant used for detailing. I had to buy the toy in order to know what the cake should look like... plus, then the toy doubled for his birthday gift :) THank you for looking!

Frosted and filled with buttercream. Accents are fondant. This one challenged me some.....that hat!!!! I like how it turned out....I am pleased. I did notice my frosting in the front on the blue tier starting to crack....I thought, great I did my support wrong, no....the buckle is heavy...so insert toothpicks and into the fridge to set and wait for pick up....DUH...I can't believe I didn't put picks in originally! Hope you like it!

For a baby shower for a boy wanted a lot of boy toys so I made a toy box out of rice krispy treats and filled it with toys, I made the base ball cap out of fondant
