I made this cupcake tower using cardboard circles, cardboard containers from the dollar store that were silver, and some blue ribbon, oh and the tops of the circles were covered using scrapbooking paper, blue and white with glittered dots, the cupcake idea came from "Taste of Home" magazine that my customer provided, but the tower in the mag. was shorter and squattier and they wanted it taller and skinnier looking like a tiered cake, but the basic idea for all the cupcakes and such is just like the mag.TFL

This is a revolving tower of cupcakes that I did for a princess themed baby shower. It featured the shower's signature colors, pink and pale yellow. Each tier was tinted with a sheer wash of color to convey a baby's delicate nature. The stars were all hand painted with gold luster dust, and each cupcake included an edible gold fondant star. The top of the cake was accented with a custom-made fondant tiara painted inside and out with gold dust.

I did this cake for our HOA's Annual Meeting. Gheez!! What a challenge. Such a learning process. I have not been doing cakes very long and when I attemp something like this I realize how much I still have to learn. Everyone loved it though, luckily they hadn't seen this website, If they had they would know how much better it could of been. The cake represents the tower that is at the entrance to our community. You can see the actual Tower in the upper right.

This turned out lovely made for a friend locally who had to take it 200miles to her sister. I was really worried about the shoe as it was very fragile....well it arrived at the resturant for her sister's party only to be dropped by my friends 6 year old twins who were arguing over the box...thankfully the shoe only came off in 1 piece and the resturant glued it back in place with jam....phew!!

Bands of pearlized fondant ribbon are accented by handmade sugar pearls. Miniature calla lilies cascade down the entire piece, and each cupcake is topped with one as well. A gentle sprinkle of edible glitter finished this design.

Lemon cake and cupcakes with raspberry cream cheese filling and almond BC icing. Marzipan/GP roses and leaves. Stripes were hard! This was my first time doing freehand stripes on this cake. Not happy at all with the way it turned out, but all of this was just practicing anyway.

White cake, cherry filling, buttercream and fondant. Why don't the cakes ever turn out like what's in your head. My cakes never look as good as I envision...... wish I had more talent.

This was made as the top tier to a cupcake tower for a Bridal Shower. The Bride and Groom are getting married in Mexico so the theme was a Fiesta.
Cucpcake tower pictures coming soon.

Made with Sugarshack's Buttercream icing, all decorations made with Fondant.
Margarita Glass (Plastic): Margarita flavored Jello, rimmed with icing then white sugar, lime was made of fondant. *I put dowels in the cake to make sure the glass wouldn't sink into the cake.

I made this cake & 100 cupcakes over the last couple days while still having to create my son's Thomas the Train cake for this weekend! I only accepted the order bc it's my best friend's niece's 2nd bday but UGHHHH lol. Castle is buttercream 6 & 10" w/fondant flowers. Cupcakes are buttercream w/pink sugar crystals. I had to bake them in different wrappers & then put them in the princess ones bc they got all yellowish & greasy!! Photo is showing purple darker than it was bc it was more lavender-ish castle/cupcakes. Hubby made custom stand & I covered in satin =) TFL!

Individual tiles of fondant were placed on this tower in a style reminiscent of the 50's era. The graphic design on the first and third tiers was balanced by the simplicity of the second one. All decorations were made by hand and included a onesie, pants, a hat, a sailboat, a rubber duckie, a teddy bear, socks, a bib, and a block. All decorations were made from marshmallow fondant.
