Made this for a client who's daughter really loves build a bear and reallly dislikes fondant. I am not good a t just buttercream cakes so this was a real challenge for me. The colors in the background are homemade hard candies to represent balloons. She loved the cake and that is the best payment.

This cake was for a surprise baby shower. I used these pattern templates to make the pattern impression and then cut out all the squares with a cutter. The tiny bows are fondant, as are the teddy bear and his mini quilt

This is the baby shower cake for my sister-in-law. It is a 14" round white cake with lemon filling. The 10" cake is a dummy cake and the top is a 3D stand up teddy bear also a white cake. They are all iced in buttercream with mmf decorations. The baby blocks are made out of gumpaste and mmf. Sorry I don't have a closer picture right now I need to get my other film delevoped.

This was a learning experience. My first gift box cake, my first fondant bow and the first time making baby booties. It was lots of fun. My favorite so far. Box top is cardboard cut and formed intoa box lid, covered in gumpaste with a fondant bow and ribbons. The cake is 4 layers (2 chocolate, 1 white and 1 strawberry) iced in buttercream with hand painted polka dots. Ribbon, baby shoes, tissue paper and teddy bear are fondant.

3D teddy bear cake, sitting on an 11" square chocolate cake for my daughter's 3rd Birhtday (she loves Little Bear from Nick Jr - and fishing!). All buttercream except for fondant fish and reeds, chocolate 'rocks' and piping gel over the water. I had so much fun making this one, the grass/fur tip rocks!!

This is 3 12in cakes (vanilla, strawberry, vanilla) with cream cheese icing and covered in MMF. The bib, onesie, bear, and tag are MMF. The booties, bottle, rattle, and pacifier are chocolate molds. I took inspiration for a few cakes I have seen on here.

I found this teddy bear picture on the internet, and added a few baby toys around him so he'd feel at home. It's hard to tell in the pic, but the cake is iced in a pale lime green, with light blue, lilac and leaf green accents. My camera just couldn't cope with the lime green. LOL 11x15 sheet, yellow/choc. marble, bavarian cream filling, iced w/BC.

I made this for my friend's son to take to his pre-school party. He is dressing up as a pumpkin for Halloween, so I thought I'd give his cake the same costume! I used half of the 3-D bear pan for this.

This is a cake I did for the opening of the sleep center at the local hospital. I thought it would make a cute baby shower cake, though.

These cakes are covered in buttercream. The animals and clothes on the clothesline are made from MMF. This was only my second major order (outside of my family) so I am still learning. There were a lot of mistakes that I made in the process. Hopefully each one will get better.

I made this as a little "smash-me" cake for my friend's daughter's first b-day...I used the mini 3D stand-up bear pan from Wilton and extended the legs with icing...little carving is needed for anyone wanting to give it a try...I got the idea from Viki - Thanks
PS. I used the Buttercream recipe from this site - the one recommended for the buttercream picture transfers.

This was my daughter's 1st birthday cake. It is a 6,8,10 inch tiered cake all buttercream. My oldest daghter had a Cherished Teddies figurine on her 1st b-day cake so I carried on the tradition for my youngest.

Ok...so this settles it! I'm too rebellious to use these character pans! I prefer doing things my own way!!! I decided today that character pans are not for me!!! I had this posted already but had mispelled the word "birthday". That's when you know you're on auto-pilot!!! Thankfully someone graciously pointed it out to me and I had time to change it before my dh delivered it!!! It's a freebie but I should still pay attention to the spelling!!! Cake mix with buttercream and fondant accents.

I made this cake for my cousin's baby girl who is also my god-daughter. Her name in Armenian means "harp" - so that's what the harp represents. The teddy bear with initial 'G' symbolizes my uncle - he passed away a few months ago and did not get to see his first grandchild. I believe that he is watching over from above, just like this teddy is watching over the baby. MMF. I need to work on my carpentry skills!

I created this cake using the mini bear and just added the bottle and pins for detail. I got the idea of the babies on the clouds from the Wilton Yearbook '95. Then added the wording, "A baby brings a little bit of heaven". I'm adding more pictures to provide a closeup of the baby bear and the babies on the cloud.
