Yellow cake w/ buttercream icing and oreo as the dirt. I made this cake for my son's birthday a few weeks ago. I almost forgot how fun it was to decorate a cake. I haven't done it in almost 10 years. I had to watch videos on how to decorate with buttercream and get it smooth since I couldn't remember how to work with it. It's not perfect but my son liked it so it was all worth it! This is my first upload and hopefully not the last! Thanks for looking!

My first cupcake cake. for my sons birthday this year. basic yellow cupcake recipe and butter cream frosting for the base. The best part about the decoration was the mechanical spiderman soaring around the tower after he blew out the candles. I know its not as fancy as the other cakes, what the hey :)

Super Hero busting through the cupcake to save "your" world. He could be any hero your imagination chooses. Great for a boys/children's costume party. All handmade fondant topper.

Cake weighed nearly 30 pounds and was almost three feet tall. We felt we could fight crime with it once it was finally finished since it looked so real! The kids loved tearing it apart once the time had come to eat him. We fed about 25 people with the cake and had lots of leftovers. It was so much fun for us and our son!

This is my first Cake Central cake contest! It is a 12", 9", and a 6" cake that is decorated with: fondant, royal icing, and a lot of love. There are a total of 4 Spiderman faces (one in the front, one in the back, and one on each side of the 12" cake.)

A true Super Hero to every cake decorator in the world is.... Gum Paste Guru! "Gumpaste" fearlessly protects beautifully decorated cakes from that dastardly duo of Heat & Humidity. Weddings and birthdays are now a much safer place when Gum Paste Guru is around. ;)

Head and shoulders made from rkt covered in chocolate. This was the first time I have ever attempted making a figurine, thought it turned out pretty awesome. It was lots of work, but when that 4 year old little boy saw it, the look on his face was PRICELESS

This cake was for my daughter's sixth birthday, she had a very demanding order but she's worth it! :) The bottom round cake is a 10 inch round chocolate cake, the tower is 4 layers of 6 inch square cakes. All the icing is vanilla buttercream. Shego, Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable, Dr. Drakken and Rufus the naked mole rat are all hand made out of fondant and gum paste. Ron Stoppable has a rope tied around Dr. Drakkens legs. (October, 2009)

I made this for my son's 4th birthday. He loves all the characters, Buzz Lightyear, Spiderman, Iron man and Transformers. There were a lot of hiccups as you can see and I would definently change a few things but for the most part it came out very good...especially for being my first tiered cake...and with fondant!

This was a last minute change by the customer....anyway relatively simple but its a 16" round so it is fairly large....groom's cake, chocolate scratch cake with peanut butter icing under the fondant. Had a bit of trouble with the fondant bubbling up on this one, and it didn't show up that obvious until after it had sat overnight. Not sure if its my icing or what.
