This is a quarter sheet cake half chocolate half white cake. The icing is all buttercream except for the stripes. The stripes are Airhead Extreme Roll Candies. It took 4 or 5 rolls to make the stripes across the whole cake and sides. Alysha loved the cake! It was her 12th birthday and she thought it was cute and still a little grown up.

This cake I did for my daughter's first birthday. It was my first attempt at a tiered cake. Still need a lot more practice, but it was fun to do. It's a 9" choc with whipped choc ganache filling and a 6" vanilla with pastry cream and raspberry filling. Smash cake is 5" vanilla and choc. I had two fairies to go on the cake, but they fell apart and company was coming in the door. Thanks for looking!

Stressful cake!!!! This was for my boss's parents 50th anniversary!!! ...to only feed 60 ppl!!!!!! 6" and 10" chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and fondant stripe. 8" and 12" white cake with chocolate frosting dots. I have never made a cake this big. I was already nervous about doing this for my "Boss"! But to add the fact that she told me Wednesday what she wanted and the party was Saturday!!! NOT MUCH TIME!!!

Buttercream frosted with fondant accents, for a bridal shower. I put the abstract lily-thing on the top after my other fondant topper just didn't look right! I think it works though.....

I was so disappointed with this cake, it was just for my own birthday (thank goodness) and I was trying to practice a tier b-day cake because my niece has a b-day in a week...and I wanted to do one for her. Second attempt with MMF....I just have these visions about how things are going to look...and I just never quite get there!

Bottom layer is chocolate and vanila cake with almond custard filling. Top layer is white chocolate cake. Hubby requested that the sun be incorporated in the cake and he was happy with the outcome. Star sugar cookies on the bottom tier where suppose to be part of the giveaways but decided to use them for the cake.

Pink and Brown Fondant. I initially was only going to use one shade of pink. I did the light pink and made the bow, then set it up to dry overnight. The next morning, the light pink had REALLY faded. Very noticably. I've never had this happen with fondant before. So I made a medium shade and finished it with 3 colors.

This was my very first cake! I decided to take on one of the most difficult chores in cake decorating...FONDANT!! I learned alot while making this cake. First of all, it is lopsided, but everyone thought it was supposed to be! It sort of took on a "whimsical" look on accident! My family was the guinea pig for this cake, so I wasn't too worried about it being "perfect".

I made this cake for my sisters 21st cake. She had a good and evil theme. Everyone at the party loved it! The middle looked a little lumpy cos my 1 year old daughter stabbed it with scissors after I had iced it so I had to put more over the top to cover. It wasn't as smooth after that!! I could have killed her!!!

I made this cake for my 40th Birthday! Some people were relieved that I actually wanted to make my own cake because they know that I'm a freak of perfection and sooooooo picky. My husband could not keep the party a surprise so I figured I'd make my own cake! Thanks for looking.

Lemon cake with twinkie filling and raspberry fruit filling swirled in. Iced in buttercream and then, covered in fondant and decorated with icing and starburst roses. I love making the starburst roses! This was for a bridal shower, but I can see it would make a good birthday cake, too. This was the best tasting cake I've done so far.

This cake is for a man's 60th birthday. His favorite things are his grankids. So his wife had me put them front and center. Choc/Raspberry,orange/orangebuttercream, strawberry /creamcheese. This idea came from Sugarshack's red and black art deco cake.

This was my first stacked cake, and final cake for Wilton Course III. I just happened to take it to school on Bob's birthday, so it became his birthday cake! Inspired by the cake in the Wilton Tiered Cakes book. Buttercream with Satin Ice fondant accents. (OOOPS, sorry it's sideways!)
