This is a french vanilla cake with strawberry filling covered in pink buttercream and pink fondant. I used my new bow cutter to make the fondant striped accents - I love that tool! The M on top is rolled out of fondant. I found I really like working with satin ice.

My first try using MMF and I think I did something wrong because it was really hard to work with! Everyone else raves about it though so I guess I will try and give it another shot.

Here is the 2nd baby shower cake for the same girl as my last baby shower cake..this one is spots and stripes matching the cake board ribbon and the baby topper I posted a few days ago. SMBC with fondant accents. This is 10" and 8" and they are both 4" high so a pretty big cake! I used Aine2's fab tutorial for the baby topper

My second attempt at a chocolate wrap...results...NOT SO GOOD! i added a tsp of veg.oil as suggested to give the chocolate shine- well, apparently that was too much because the choc never dried and stuck to the mylar as i peeled it away, so the surface was dull and there were broken pieces. i'll try again!!! mocha scratch cake, milk choc whipped ganache, dark choc wrap w/ dipped berries w/ white choc drizzle. mango sparkle dust.

This is a birthday cake. I chose to do MMF because it taste better but I sure wish I had used Wilton because it is a sturdier fondant and I think I would have been happier. The MMF is just so soft and hard to work with. The colors, circles and stripes match the napkins. I left the middle layer white so the carousel horses wouldn't clash with the other colors and they would stand out on their own.

This was a small tiered cake for a bridal shower. My customer told me the color scheme for the shower was black, pink, and silver with touches of lime green and she wanted something fun and modern. I thought alternating colors and shapes would be fun. The cake is hazelnut marble with hazelnut buttercream filling.

Found this design on CC and loved it. Decided to do it for a best friend's mom for her birthday. They only needed one layer of cake so the top two layers were styrofoam. It was a huge hit! Chocolate cake with chocolate/almond pudding filling, bc icing and fondant accents.

This cake was made for a garden themed Bridal Shower! I used homemade marshmallow fondant to cover the cake. I purchased the flowers. I prefer buying my gumpasted flowers...just takes too long to make by hand

my first cake! and a square one at that! i wasn't sure which album to put this cake in...it's my first cake, practice only, and it wasn't for any particular theme or person. i called it "a modern take on stars and stripes" - but i'm Canadian, so it isn't all that patriotic! :) it is a chai spice cake with chocolate buttercream (crusting) inside and out, then wilton fondant (YUK!) for the stars and stripes. since there wasn't much fondant it didn't taste too bad mixed with the cake and buttercream!

I copied a picture of a cake that the customer requested. It is strawberry cake with vanilla strawberry mousse. 8, 6, 4 inch tiers, buttercream with fondant accents that have been painted with luster dust. The only problem...it LEANED like crazy. You can't see that from this angle, thank goodness!

First time I put roses on a cake, thought they turned out good for my first. I also used striping in the bag for the first time, I love how that turned out for the border!

My 5th and most recent cake. I got the inspiration for this cake from craftybrandi, only I added my own twist of stripes instead of stars, but like the shades of blues and the writing. I did this for my boss at work. His son is having a birthday soon, so maybe I can get a gig! Eeeek, I need more practice though... better get back into the kitchen!

I made this cake for a little girl's 10th birthday. She requested a Letter R Diva Cake. The design was up to me. You will see in the other picture that I added a Diva sign before delivery. I think that this picture shows all the angles and sides best.
