King Triton fondant figure, to accompany the Under the Sea cake in my pics. All fondant/CMC, with a dowel for support in the rock base (9" total height, yikes!), and an 18-gauge wire for his trident staff. Had so much fun making the sea life for this project. Thanks for looking!!!

My daughter (TeeSue) and I designed and decorated this cake together. We used cookies for the walls of the shack and buttercream for the roof. The water is piping gel and the sand is sanding sugar. The crabs, surfboard, starfish and palm trees are gumpaste/fondant. TFL!

My client saw a picture of a cake she loved and wanted it for her wedding cake. She found it through Google so if the design is posted on Cake Central I'm sorry I don't have a name of someone to thank! She did cupcakes for her guests and this cake was for the couple to cut and of course save the top for their 1st anniversary. The cake is covered in fondant and all the starfish and shells are gumpaste, covered in luster dust, painted with petal dust, sprayed with pearl sheen and glittered in blue topaz edible glitter. The pearls are individually set around as borders, they were unfinished and I used pearl luster dust to color them. The top tier is chocolate cake with VBC filling and frosting. The bottom tier is traditional red velvet with cream cheese filling and cream cheese frosting. It had to travel 3 1/2 hrs assembled! Everything went well.

The topper is a gumpaste mermaid on top of a giant cupcake. The mermaid was made to resemble the little girl who was turning 5. The cupcakes are topped with fondant sea creatures. The coral is royal icing. Hubby made the cupcake stand...I think it still needs another coat of paint though.

An 8" round covered in marshmallow fondant. All figures made with Wilton fondant. The sand is a mix of graham crackers and Nilla wafers. This was my first attempt at people. I wish she turned out a little better, but I did learn a lot.

I was so happy with this cake! I did have a hard time with the mermaid's faces and when I dropped one of them and broke the tail, I was so worried! Thank goodness for HOT GLUE! The RI wasn't working and I was in a pinch. hahahahaha
