Made for my nephew's 5th birthday. I searched and searched for Patrick Star cookies but couldn't find anything that I liked made with a star cutter. So I just used a picture from one of my son's books. Hope you like them! I think they are so cute!

This cake is inspired by ALL the SpongeBob cakes here on CC! Thank you to everyone who posted theirs. Without them I could NOT have done this. This is a chocolate cake with milk chocolate ganache filling and BC icing. Shoes are icing color painted fondant and legs are wooden dowels covered in fondant and painted with BC.

This was my son's 3rd birthday cake. I wanted to do him sitting up with lwegs and arms, but we just got back from evacuating from Gustav. Was a little rushed trying to get him done. It is half WASC cake with buttercream and praline filling and half chocolate cake with strawberry and buttercream filling. Iced in buttercream with MMF accents. My son loved it.

This was a joint effort between my 7 year old daughter and I. We did it just for fun 'cause I'd already finished my two cakes for the weekend.....We slaved over this baby for hours.

This is the cake I did for my son's 5th birthday. He absolutely loved the cake. Spongebob is a RKT covered in mmf. My son only wanted lettuce and cheese on his krabby patty and believe it or not, the cheese and lettuce were the most popular things the kids ate at the party. The banner is just a piece of carstock printed out and glued to a skewer.

Thank you to all of the CC'ers for the idea for this cake. First off, this was the worst cake disaster I have ever had. While driving this cake to its destination, the whole face and front of the cake completly fell off. All of the buttercream. I ended up fixing it, most of it, but just walking into the party with a cake that looked like that was awful. I ended up turning the cake around and putting a new face on the back. I just moved the feet to the back. Buttercream icing w/mmf arms, legs and nose. Thanks

This was for a 7 y.o. girl's birthday. It's 9by13 with RCT for arms, legs, and nose. The RCT was coated with yellow candy melt to match the cake. Facial features were made with candy melts--chocolate transfer. I'll have to do a better job of judging board size with relation to the appendages. : ) Dad and birthday girl loved it! It was fun for me too. Cake is frosted with decorator's buttercream.

I made this cake for my nephew's birthday, having to first acquaint myself with the infamous Mr. Squarepants! (as I don't have any children yet I was not familiar with him,and on asking my sister what her son was "into" the reply came "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea....." to which I gave her the most curious look of total bewilderment!)

A Sponge Bob cake for my Granddaughter. Thanks to all the Sponge Bob ideas on CC. I tried fondant for the body, but the tall vertical shape made it crack on the top edges. Disaster. Had to whip up some BC instead. Did not have enough time to do socks! The party hat was hiding a dowel which I held during transport. The hat was then decorated at the party. I don't know how people do this for a living!

stacked and cake covered with mmf and used gumpaste for the name. Took a while to complete but it was also very fun. Secured it to the board with dowel rods.
