Made these for my family get together. Mainly for the kids, but everyone wanted one, luckily I made enough. White Almond sour cream cake with buttercream icing. The eyes and nose are m&ms and the whiskers and mouth are chocolate transfers. These were done using the wilton bunny mini cakes pan.

I was inspired by some other postings here .... This is my first time working with decorating techniques and also the first time I've ever decorated cupcakes. Not the best, but I think its okay considering...

The Egg Shell is made of white chocolate and the beak, feet, and eyes are candy clay. The body is a "black magic" chocolate cake and the head is a white cake.

This is the cookie bouquet I did for my families Easter dinner. The basketweave and handle is done in buttercream and the flowers are royal icing. The cookie design was from a Wilton project flyer.

Shamelessly stolen from one I found on this site, made this one for the family. It's a Collette Peters recipe white cake with buttercream decoration, apple filling.

A friend asked me to make this for her daughter's preschool spring party. It is my first egg-free cake (what a nightmare to work with!---maybe I need a new recipe). Covered in Satin Ice. BC border. Egg-free cakes are so different to work with!

I am a huge fan of sunlover00's cakes. This was one of her's. My mom is having a scrapbook party tonight and I thought it would be cute to have. Not really using it for Mother's Day but I thought it would be cute for that occassion as well. Its just a carrott cake with cream cheese icing and prioulette (sp?) cookies around the side.

This is a cake I made using a 3D mold. I covered it w/buttercream (should have used non-crusting) and then put superfine organic unsweetened coconut on top of that. I had the problem of the bunny's head trying to fall off. I secured it w/dowels. Any ideas on how to keep it's head from falling off next time?

Buttercream icing, then airbrushed the ones that are 2-toned... A Peeps is on top of the blue one. The pink one I used a small star-tip and pushed back and forth as I piped in a spiral. The white one is basketweave with Jelly Bellies on top.

These are cupcakes that I threw together for my husband's office. They are supposed to be bird's nests. I tried using a grass-tip at first and didn't like the way that looked. So, then I used a star tip and built up a nest in a spiral formation. I used Peeps for the birds and Jelly Bellies for the eggs. I also used giant malted-milk ball eggs. For the Easter grass it is edible grass that you can buy from Orientaltrading.com and it comes in yellow, green, and pink. It doesn't taste good, but it's cool

This cake is made with mandarin oranges and frosted with Cool Whip, vanilla pudding and crushed pineapple--which makes it really light and not too rich. I garnished it with curled orange peel from 6 medium oranges.

I was taking the Wilton 1 class and we were learning how to make roses. I wanted to try something different so I used this idea.

I saw a similar idea in a local wedding magazine and fell in love. This is a dummy cake covered in Wilton's fondant. The cornelli lace and dots were done in RI, the flowers are artificial, and the butterflies I found in the floral section.

Thanks for all the ideas from fellow CC's for this cake! My son loved it and I learned a lot from doing it. It feels like a made a wedding size cake for a 4 year old - think I went a little overboard?? Definetly had some issues with the MMF and the buttercream became way too soft, but overall it turned out ok. Especially after I just about ruined it this morning!! (See other pics for explanation of that!)

Vanilla cake with Lemon Curd Filling. Yummy! All decorations are tinted fondant. Had minimal time to make this. Wasn't what I had planned and I don't know if I'm too happy with the orange background, but everyone at work loved it!
