This was my first wedding cake for someone else. The bride wanted sugar flowers like Stargazer Lilies and Orchids she had seen on a photo of another cake. She also wanted two tiers covered in sugar to give the cake sparkle!

My friend gave me a picture of a cake that she liked and asked me to copy it. I copied most of it except for a few small details. The original design was from a company called New England Couture Cake.

Sweet 16 Rainbow Polka Dotted cake I made for a friend's daughter's birthday. I got the idea from a blog that mentioned Sweet Art Bakery as the maker of the cake. http://www.chickabug.com/blog/2012/04/polka-dot-rainbow-cake.html# The birthday girl wanted a square cake instead and I made a ruffle flower and added a few different things to make it her own. My 4 year old daughter wanted all of the ponies, but I made her narrow it down. She decided on Twilight Sparkle and Applejack. All peices were cut by hand. Peanut Butter cake, with Chocolate Ganache for my lil' chocoholic!

This was the tallest and most blinged-out birthday cake I've ever made. The client asked that every inch of this cake sparkle and shine. I made a custom mauve color for the fondant, used gold sugar gems and made colorful peony flowers. Lots and lots of time and love went into this and it was a pure joy. The best part was the mother's reaction to the final product. xox

I made this cake for my daughter's 18th birthday. She loves basketball and she loves the girly stuff too. So, this cake was just symbolized her the best. The shoe is edible with candy jewels on it.. I made them banana rum flavour.
