Lower part of the slot machine is cake, the upper part is high density foam. It was made a a 75th birthday party.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! It finally happened :-( This was a slot machine, designed for a woman's 75th birthday, who was going to Vegas to celebrate. I'm not exactly sure how or why, but the top of my cake (which was supported by dowels), fell a few hours after being completed! Unfortunately, it was NOT able to be salvaged, and I had to start over from scratch, with only 2 1/2 hrs, until pick up :-o Luckily I had already baked for another cake being picked up later in the weekend, and was able to throw together slot machine #2, in about 1 1/2 hrs.

We made this cake for my grandma's 69th birthday. She LOVES going to the casino & her fav is the slots. 3 layer 8" square cake with half of an 8" cake on top. Iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. The coins are also edible. She was so excited with her cake! :) TFL!

The birthday girl loves to play the slots! The top is a styro dummy, and base is vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream filling. The lever base and ball are styro, and the pole is a wooden dowel - all covered in gumpaste.
