A platter of Halloween cookies. They were soooo much fun to decorate!! They are Penny's cookies with Antonia's RI. Oh and the chocolate sugar cookie recipe from this site. Thanks to sooo many CC'ers for their ideas and inspiration.

Jack Skellington Cake, a last minute surprise halloween treat for my son! Make it in 1 hour, it was so late and I was falling asleep! It's my fault, I stayed up late to watch Nip/Tuck!

The skulls are actually glow in the dark rings. I think I saw this design somewhere in one of the Wilton books or a Wilton flyer last year in a store. The tombstone is sugar cookie.

I made this cake to look like my daughter's Halloween costume. The RIP tombstone is a brownie covered with chocolate candy. The doll is a Wilton doll pick that I painted to look like her costume. It is supposed to look like a skeleton coming out of the ground. I got rushed when the beginning of the party started showing up early! She ended up with 26 friends showing up! The bad part is that none of them ended up wanting cake!!! Too many other things going on.

This cake was for a friend's wedding in another state. I made all of the cakes, fillings, and icings ahead at home and drove the 5 hours to where the wedding was located. It is a coconut flavored cake with lemon curd filling and coconut flavored buttercream. The outside of the cake is covered in toasted coconut flakes, it was delicious! The tiny people on the top of the cake were a decoration for Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican day of the dead. They are a skeleton bride and groom.

This is an up close shot of the cake topper that adorned the previously posted coconut cak with lemon curd filling. The bride is a good friend of mine and is sort of quirky, so I bought this little figurine on a whim and decided to give it to her as a wedding present, and she loved it so much she decided it HAD to go on the top of the wedding cake!

These are Chocolate cookies I made into Skeletons. One day while brainstorming for a fun Halloween Cookie idea, I came across my gingerman cookie cutter. I thought well that is the outside of a "man" what if you x-rayed him. You would see his skeleton. So I went about creating a ckeleton on the gingerbread man cookie cut outs. All the kids loved them. The eyes are red piping gel. looks creepy and then the other decor is white royal icing piped on. I found less is more with these little fellas.

I was inspired by many of the drum cakes on here especially the ones by torysgirl87 and cathyscakes! He loved it. Gumpaste cymbal and sticks. The rest is fondant. The pictures are som we took ahead of time of my sister playing his drums in her wedding dress. I think that was his favorite part!

I made this for my nephew. The skeleton is plastic that I got at a craft store. The lid is frosting covered foam board. Cookie crumbs make up the dirt around the bottom of the cake.

This was actually a Halloween cake for an October birthday! I used the Wilton house pan and made 2 for each rooftop. The middle is just the roof from a whole cake. The bottom is a half sheet cake, and the black columns were white with black spray paint. I got the skeleton stuff at the Dollar Tree. This was a very labor intensive cake, but lots of fun!

I made these for my students at school in honor or my birthday. The cupcakes are white sour cream with almond flavored buttercream. I also made enough for the teachers and staff to have one. Any comments are appreciated.
