This is a Halloween party cake made to be a zombie crawling out of an old fashioned coffin. The decorations and structures are all edible, and the zombie's head, of course, had to be red velvet to add to the drama!

this was actually a birthday cake that I made for my sister's 18th birthday. It's chocolate cake (about 5 layers) with chocolate buttercream and all covered in marshmallow fondant. The painting detail was done all by hand using an airbrush.

My first attempt at a casket cake. I intended on putting MMF on it but that was a disaster and it didn't turn out and had to last minute stick with buttercream. Had fun making the fondant skeleton hand though.

I made this for my son for his 5th birthday and it was a huge hit! Skeleton is a popcorn ball recipe, gold luster dust chocolate coins and chocolate candy rocks. White cake with chocolate fudge and cookie crumbles! Buttercream icing to top it off! Yum!

About a third of the 100 cuppies made for a school carnival cupcake walk. I tried to decorate some with more boyish and some with more girlish themes.

My son and his friends celebrated his 12th birthday at a glow in the the dark indoor putt putt golf course. It featured the pirate skeletons that inspired the cake. I used neon colors to color the fondant. I got lucky with the neon pre-made skelton heads for the sides of the cake. The skelton was a plastic figure that I purchased at the dollar store and I used a Playmobil golf club set.

Vanilla Bean Cake with Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese Frosting. Skeleton is fondant. Erin graduated pre-med and wanted a cadaver or skeleton. I could not put a cadaver on a cake . . . so the choice was the skeleton!

My son wanted a Legend of Zelda cake for his birthday. Used a 12x8x2 in oblong, and 8 in round. Swiss chocolate cake on bottom, vanilla on top. He decided on a "birds eye view" from inside a dungeon. The treasure chest is too big I know. lol. This is the second time I used fondant. Special thanks to my artist daughter Lisa for helping me with shaping the fondant. Skeleton, ghost, and bat are soft plastic toys. The horse is a toy, also. Link is a polymer clay figure (Thanks Ginger!) Pillar that the bat is on is a Grecian cake pillar. Everything else is buttercream and fondant. This cake was so much fun!!

Moritmer was my first cereal treat sculpture. He's 9 inches tall from chin to top of his hat and 5 inches wide. He's covered in fondant. I'm really proud of this first attempt. I think he came out fab although the photo doesn't do him justice. TYFL
