this is her favorite place to shop.
The box, and top are cake with fondant..the shoes and purse are chocolate, and the 'tissue paper" is fondant

Yes it's pink & yes it was a groom's cake! My hubby insisted it was a women's shoe but it is what the bride wanted & we all know what the bride wants the bride gets! Used my hubby's shoe wrapped in plastic to cut the exact size & shape. All MMF, box was chocolate MMF served about 40 overall. Thanks to karennayak, antonia74 & cjf for their inspiring photos!

This is the close up view 3D carved cake, used my hubby's real shoe wrapped in plastic for a template. Covered in mmf. This was pretty easy but took time as it was my first time making a tennis shoe. Very happy with the result. It was a grooms cake, yes it was pink!

Made this cake for my sister's 40th birthday. She loves shoes and purses. The shoe box didn't turn out to bad, but I ran out of time and had to do the purse fast and am not happy with it at all. But there will always be her 41st birthday. White cake with bc and fondant/gumpaste accents.

Created for a lady that has a complete passion for fashion & shopping. The Cloe handbag is lemon madeira, the Diesel shoe box is chocolate orange madeira (made with 100% organic cocoa) & the Tiffney boxes are spiced maderia with bailey's buttercream. The ring is edible and can be removed and woven. The sugar shoe was a model of the shoe that the customber actually wore at her birthday party.

This is my version of Lisa Strauss's shoe box cake. The lady wanted the paper red though. I tried to talk her into a different shoe design, but she insisted on the zebra print. I didn't want to look like I copied Lisa's exact design. It was a fun cake to make.

This was one I made last week. The birthday girl's nickname is Lady, hence the name of the shoe. The box was all cake, covered in fondant with fondant accents, and hand painted labels. The shoe was made from gumpaste from a few different designs/templates found on CC. This was my first shoe box and very first shoe... The heal needed a little work, but I was pleased with the final results. TFL!

This was made for a 40th birthday for a woman who loves to shop and likes cosmopolitan's. The design was inspired by several cakes I've seen by Tray2, thecakemaven, and Elisa Srauss (Confetti Cakes). All cakes are done in fondant (Satin Ice), the cosmopolitan is simply a glass with pink icing filling with cake and cannoli filling. The birthday girl's name is on top of the shoe box with a receipt on the shopping bag reading "turning 40 with style"

The girl wanted this kind of shoes a year ago (real shoes) but she didn't find them so her husband decided this could be a good theme for the cake. The box itself is peach and strawberry MSC, MMF covered, white choc/yogourt fruit filled. The top is orange MSC, chocorange filled, Choc MMF covered. The shoes are gumpaste. TFL

Made this for a 30th BD. It was very hot here yesterday and the fondant was soft and was not cooperating with me. There are many flaws. I was up very late finishing it. I would use different size cakes next time. 11x15 cake cut to size. I think I would use 12 " next time so I don't have sagging edges. I had to add cake to make it look square. Nightmare over, but I am happy with the bow and shoe at least.

My first shoe. I didn't know how to make it and I was practically guessing, is not what I wanted but at least I gave it a try. The tag has all the information of the birthday girl.
