The entire cake icing and decorations are MMF except for the border which is BC straw. The cake is chocolate. I had fun designing and making the cake.

Scarecrow in the Pumpkin Patch. The scarecrow was from a flower arrangement and the pumpkins are honey/candy corn that you can get during halloween and Thanksgiving. The fence was made out of pretzels and "glued" together using icing.

This is my third (and last!) Thanksgiving cake for this weekend. This one is for my family dinner, so I dressed it up a little! I just bought the Wilton Candlelight Cake Stand (from Michael's with the 50% off coupon - woohoo!), and couldn't wait to try it out! The leaves around the cake plate are fake, but I made the leaves on the cake out of MMF. If you want more info about the cake, please see "Thanksgiving cake # 1 or # 2" in my pics! Thanks for looking!

This cake was for a bride and groom that had a fall theme, complete with pumpkins and scarecrows. This was my very first time covering a cake in fondant and I must say it is harder than it looks, at least for me. I ended up covering the bottom of the cakes with the ribbon because I had fondant "pleats" that I couldn't get rid of. Oooh well, live and learn right. The flowers on the cake are silk and match the centerpeices that the florist made. I didn't bake all the cookies but I bagged and tagged them.

I made this cake for my daughters' school Festival. I used MMF, the pumpkins are store bought candy and the flowers and Scarecrows are inedible.

This was my entry into the Ace of Cakes Totally Awesome Cake Challenge in Rockford, IL. The event was judged solely by Duff himself, and I was lucky enough to receive 3rd place (honorable mention) for my scarecrow. I had the opportunity to meet several other cc members and see their amazing entries as well. I plan to put some additional photos and a video clip on my website later this week, so please come and take a peak! The scarecrow is a cake dummy that I carved and covered in fondant.

I made this cake for a party I was having this fall. It is a WASC cake with raspberry filling and whipped icing. Then a pumpkin cake on top, made with Martha Stewarts pumpkin mold and recipe. The leaves are made of Starburst and Tootsie Rolls.

Pralines and Cream flavored cake with Pralines and Cream icing. Everything is edible. The large pumpkin is an apple covered in fondant to give stability for the scarecrow. The scarecrow is entirely made from fondant and hand painted. The "wooden" flower pot is made from fondant and hand painted as well. The mums are a combination of fondant and tip #16. The cake itself was made from three loaf pans. They were torted and filled with the pralines and cream icing. This was my favorite cake to make.

This was for our church - they do an outreach with some kids in Pittsburgh and every month have a bday party for them, so this month I chose to do a "fall theme".
1/2 & 1/2 sheet (2-11x15's) and a 10" chocolate for the scarecrow. All decorations are done in buttercream.
