These were cookie favors for a little boy's first birthday party. The birthday was obviously a rubber duck theme. Butter cookies with MMF and RI details. The bubbles have a little Lustre dust for shimmer. Thanks for looking!

I know this looks like a shower cake, but it's for a boy's first birthday. I added the lilly pads and cat tails to make it a little more boyish.

French vanilla cake, cherry filling, buttercream, topped with fondant. Bubbles are royal icing, rolled in luster dust. The duckies along the bottom are handmade using a candy mold.

This was 2nd fondant cake... (1st was in Wilton class)... I was pretty excited about it

I decided to create a little more of an exotic swamp look. Go figure ducks and swamps(lol). Anyway the cakes were covered with fondant and all the flowers are gumpaste. The little ducky's were purchased.

I used the Wilton 3-D duck for the momma and a mini ball for the baby. The rest as they say, is just icing on the cake!

Made for a good friends shower. Rubber ducky on top is not edible, everything else is. I made this in her home town and the humidity got to some of my fondant "wood planks" but otherwise I was really happy with it!

I was inspired by another cake decorators design to create this cake for a baby shower. It is vanilla + choc cake with buttercream and fondant accents. The customer just loved it! Made my day.

This cake was made according to Sharon Zambito's instructions in Boxes and Bows. I used rubber stamps to print the horses on the box and to impress the design on the ribbons/bows and fondant border. This cake won 2nd place in the KY State Fair Semi-Professional Category.

Another duck in a tub! My first one. I wanted to experiment with woodgrain and I think it came out ok. The bottles and duck are not edible (ran short on time!). Paula Deen's strawberry cake (yummy!), with strawberry cream cheese frosting between layers and vanilla buttercream covered in piping gel for the water. Fondant bubble with luster dust.

This was a baby shower cake that a local university purchased for one of their employees. This idea was taken from another cake i found here on cakecentral. I cant remember the name of the person who originally created this cake, sorry!! These were placed on a 3 tier stand. Cake on top tier and cupcakes on bottom two tiers. Cake is vanilla w/vanilla icing. Cupcakes are swiss chocolate/white chocolate raspberry heaven icing, chocolate/chocolate and vanilla/vanilla. Thanks for looking and I appreciate all of your helpful comments.

I made this for a triple baby shower I attended. It was both genders so this was very neutral. I got my idea from other cc people, so thank you all very much! I did my own take on it with the baby soap. It was a huge hit!

This was one of my first fondant cakes from about 3 years ago. I just started doing cakes and I was inspired to do a cake for a friends shower that was a diaper cake only it would actually be cake not diapers. I made gumpaste pacifiers, rattles, rubber ducks, baby blocks with the new baby to be's initials. The colors are softer than I wanted. My friend wanted really light pastel colors. She actually originially wanted all white(boring!!!). So this color was a compromise. I would love to do this again the way I originally imagined it( 3 tiers) more vibrant color.
Cake was good too! Thanks for looking.

First attempt at many things.... first 3-D cake, first star tip icing and first time dipping oreos. Turned out pretty good. Especially loved eating all those "bubbles". The cake was my daughters 1st birthday as she was really into ducks. It was in a large basin and sitting on an upside down bowl which was hidden by all the "bubbles" made of chocolate covered oreos.
