This was for my son's first day of school, I mean the third day of school. ;) The bottom was Funfetti cake with raspberry filling and the top was chocolate, no filling. Buttercream with MMF decorations. Used edible marker for the design on the crayons and RI for the writing and chalk on the blackboard with sugar smudges. Thanks for looking.

I have made this cake before for my son's birthday. A customer had seen the picture of it and ordered this cake for her little girl who loves superheroes. The only change she made was to have the name written in pink. It is a 12" white cake with vanilla bc, 8" chocolate with vanilla bc and a 6" white with vanilla bc. It is covered in all buttercream with the cityscape done in fondant. The figures are not edible. TFL.

I pretty much copied the dino's in natsky's twin dino cake. Which is absolutely fabulous. But I did it in different colours and made it have bigger eyes. . Couldn't wait to give it a go... and thanks for tip with the head!

two teired birthday cake for a four year old who loves spiderman. Spiderman is made out of polymer clay and baked in the oven. the rest of the decoration are made from tylose added to sugarpaste. two lessons learnt from making this cake, always make your decorations in few days advence to alway it to harden and make sure the cake isn't too soft so the decoraions dont sink in to it.

A random cake made with leftovers. I had lots of leftover buttercream from a different cake I made, so I decided to do a design that I normally like in fondant. Just a fun cake :)

This was my second attempt at some designs for stacking sugar cookies like a wedding cake. I'm still working on getting the sides straight so they line up. I tried to shave the edges off with a knife...which sorta worked! - but led to more crumbs and sometimes not even sides. Any advice on getting cookie sides totally straight would be great! :) It's fun to come up with new ideas though! Thanks for looking!

This was my first topsy-turvy cake. I made it for our children's minister's last Sunday. The footprints represent our nursery, First Steps. The second tier represents our preschool, Little Lights. The bottom tier represents our K-4th graders, Spark. This was a fun cake to make.

I made this for my son's 11th birthday. He is an avid rubiks cube solver. This was a huge cake! The smaller one you see is one I did for our churches cake contest. It won 2nd place! Not bad for my first time ever making a real cake. These are my first attempts at cake making and fondant.

This was for friends celebrating their birthday together. They were having a swim party and wanted something extra special. Thanks to CCr's who helped me with this cake. Covering the styrofoam ball was tricky...the stripes acutally have to be shaped like elipses. The ball was made a week in advance. The rest was straight forward. Thanks for looking!
