My first MMF person! I know she doesn't look like Rapunzel from the Tangled movie, but the mom liked her, so I was happy. Tower is RKT. 10 inch WASC cake with BC. All decorations MMF except for vine - BC and flowers - Royal Icing.

Our niece, Natalie, wanted a Rapunzel cake for her birthday, so I decided to try my first doll cake for her. I wanted to have plenty of cake so I made an extra cake also with her name on it. I did the lettering with candy melts, gum paste roses (recycled from my last class cake earlier this week), fondant & gum paste leaves. The cakes are chocolate with chocolate buttercream filling, buttercream icing on the extra cake. Buttercream and fondant on the doll cake. I had a long hair extension that I tied in with her hair to make it like Rapunzel's hair. Real doll in the cake, wrapped in Seran up to the waist. I know I had a lot of flaws, but it's my first try and I really enjoyed doing it for her.

I attempted to make a tangled cake and I was overall happy with it but next time I would try not to make the eyes look so bug eyed. You can see the picture I used as a reference.

This is a 2 foot tall cake for a very special girl who loves the movie Tangled. The bottom cakes were 8" and 12" flower pans. The tower is made out of four 4" x 4" round cake pans, dowels, plastic cake plates, part of a Styrofoam cup, RKT, and a Rapunzel doll from the movie Tangled. All cakes were coated in Sugar Shacks Buttercream and covered in Fondx Fondant. Thanks for looking!!!

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream. Rapunzel is freehanded on top of cake. Her hair flows down the side of the cake and encircles the bottom to create a border of hair. All done in buttercream.

This is a cake I created for a friend of mine's friend's daughter. She loved the Disney movie Tangled, and I was really inspired by the beautiful tower that she was kept in. This is the most detailed and time consuming cake I've done so far. The cake is supported by metal pipe on a heavy wooden base, connected with flanges. The pipe is covered in cereal treats, then covered in modeling chocolate. The cake is chocolate with chocolate frosting, wrapped in fondant. The roof is molded cereal treats covered in fondant. I stamped out hundreds of tiny tiles out of fondant, and most of the decorations are a fondant/gum paste mixture. I then painted it all with edible paints and added greenery with colored icing. This cake was super challenging, and I'm so glad it's finished!

This was for my daughters 5th birthday. The whole thing is about 3 feet tall. The bottom is a 15 inch board with pvc pipe (covered in RKT) and an 8 inch board on top. The roof was also RKT and all MMF. The Rapunzel doll is a Hallmark x-mas ornament and Flynn was bought on e-bay. TFL it was time consuming but lots of fun!

My friend's daughter is turning four today, and desperately wanted a Rapunzel cake. She requested strawberry and chocolate cake, so the tower is made out of strawberry cake (4" diameter rounds), and the hill is made of chocolate (a 12" and 10" round stacked and carved). Fondant covered with gumpaste accents. I made the green fondant a little too dry and it cracked, but luckily, my busy designs cover up a lot of sins and distract from those still visible. ;-)

This is a Rapunzel cake for "Tangled" birthday party. I'm sure you can tell, this is a copy from the front of the Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge. I just added a really long braid so the princess would be Rapunzel. The white cake covering is MMF, the rest is wilton fondant cut with a cricut cake.

Thanks for looking. My daughter wanted a Tangled/Rapunzel cake for her 7th birthday. This is what I came up with. She loved it and that made the 5+ hours of work oh so worth it. Everything is edible except for the tower structure (paper towel roll, and a metal paper towel holder) and the Disney figures. The bridge is painted gumpaste. I took the easy road out by purchasing some candy rocks and flowers from the local bulk store. My daughter also loves candy - so it's a win win situation.

The castle color is a bit too dark but I didn't want gray. RBC on a sugar cookie, hair was made with a clay gun.

5th Birthday cake. Vanilla cake with orange buttercream filling. Had a great time making this cake, but delivering it...not so much. The venue was at Monkey Joe's party center (picture a thousand screaming children in one place and you'll have the idea).
