I made these cakes for my cousins birthdays. two of their birthdays are close together and so I made one for my other cousin because I felt bad. So she got one just because. They are vanilla cake with buttercream. I made the cakes the same color as the buttercream, so when they cut into them they where colored layers of cake. They are just simple, but they loved them and that all that matters.

I got bored and decided to try a new cake recipe...which led to the cake being decorated :) This is a 6" double layer whipped cream cake and has crusting buttercream frosting. I used tip 16 for the rosettes, tip 22 for the yellow ruffle border, and tip 66 for the leaves. Cake recipe can be found on allrecipes - it's the one called "whipped cream cake II" - I was amazed by the texture!

This is a cake I did that all the bride told me to do was include navy, pink, yellow, purple and green, and make it look like spring. So not knowing her I was nervous - well her mother told me this cake reminds her of her daughter, simple, pretty and elegant, I was so happy! 14"/10"/6" rounds covered in mmf and fondant flowers and ribbon.

The pirate is a chocolate transfer. I was so upset..it broke during transport and couldn't go on the cake. I was so proud of how well it turned out too. The girl still LOVED the cake regardless. Lesson learned though...always make more than 1. :)

A girl I work with asked for a cake that was not too fun, and not too pretty but a little bit of both - I hope she likes my idea for her request! I love this cake - it's just so cute! The top tier is yellow cake with chocolate buttercream filling and the bottom tier is chocolate cake with white buttercream icing. Yummy!

This matched the partyware. The rose off to the side is for big sister, she came to the shop and really wanted one so I told her I would put one on for her. I put a little tag next to it for her too. There is a mini cupcake like this top cake for her smash cake

I got the idea for this cake here at Cake central, from others cakes and from Colette Peters book. The person that order wanted a quite different combination of filling: passion fruit mousse and a second layer of chocolate ganache with pieces of strawberries. I spent the night doing it but it was worth when she came to pick up the cake and was very pleased with it!
