Made for my daughter's 1st birthday. One of her first words was dog, so I thought it would be cute to have one on her cake. Thanks to suewillo and michele25 for the instructions on the puppy. Couldn't have done it without you! Gumpaste details on dog, number 1, and polka dots. Everything else is buttercream on white cake.

everything was done in buttercream except the the roof, dog, bowl and bone which were done in fondant. done for my son's b-day at his request because he loves his stuffed puppy. rocks are candy rocks and path is graham crackers

I made this cake for my 3 year old's birthday. The puppy is a white cake with BC frosting and fondant accents using justfrosting's tutorial. The dog bed is a chocolate cake carved from 2 11x15 cakes with chocolate BC and fondant accents. The blanket, dog bowl, rope and bone are MMF. The "dog food" is cocoa puffs cereal.

A cake for my MIL who loves gardening and her two little Cavalier King Charles spaniels. :-) The table is a vanilla cake with a sugar cookie in the middle; the flower pot is a chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate ganache and white chocolate truffle filling.

12x12x2 layer cut then assembled like a two tier stacked but iced and decorated as one complete tier. The back of the top was made by cutting, icing, stacking narrow strips of sugar cookies. Then, iced and covered the entire piece with fondant. All decorations are made from fondant/gumpaste. nusilver and everclear mixed to paint trim and burner grates. Base was airbrushed using the 'Harlequin' stencil. Inspired by other cakes here on CC..kitchen scene from the 2006 San Diego Cake Show gallery mostly.

This is supposed to look like the birthday boy's own dog. Nose, bowl and ears are MMF (top of ears covered with BC so they match exactly), the rest is BC. Used the Wilton Sports Ball pans for head, and a yule log pan for the body. Carved to get the right shape and used the scraps for legs, snout and tail. TFL!

My cousin had a doggie themed sleepover birthday. I wasnt sure how this would turn out, being my first time making a dog cake. I thought it was cute, I definatly learned a little more! :)

This is my favorite groom's cake ever. The cake is ganached and surrounded by dozens of chocolate strawberries. The fire chief's car on top is a Franklin Mint collectible. The main part is the dalmatian puppy in front of the cake! It's made of chocolate cake and is all buttercream. I used Aine2's tutorial for the puppies.......mine are nowhere NEAR as good as hers.....lol....but I tried! This ended up being around 12 inches tall and heavy! I formed the bones and everything else myself. Buttercream grass and the cake flavor was citrus! TFL

This cake was done for a woman who works for a dog rescue place. The puppies are fondant figures and the cake is buttercream iced and decorated. I'm sure it was delicious, too... German Chocolate Cake with the traditional coconut/pecan icing used as a filling.

Asked to recreate beloved stuffed blue puppy for 2nd birthday. kudos to Mom for nixing the typical Dora, Backyardigans, etc. themes! Just a 9 x 13 sheet with B/C, puppy is fondant with B/C fur, fondant flower cutouts.
