Here is the 2nd of two cakes I worked on over night for a friend's twins. I learned a good lesson with this one. Buttercream will not stick to plastic, particularly in 100 degree heat! LOL

French vanilla cake, bottom tier has raspberry filling, top tier has chocolate pudding filling. Iced in buttercream. Optimus Prime and Transformer logo were done with chocolate candy melts. I did the lettering and other decorations in buttercream. My son is so excited about his cake!!

A very fun birthday cake that I did for my boyfriend. Some of his armor was gingerbread covered in fondante and other areas were cake with buttercream or more fondante. Overall, another successful original design, hand made and handshaped!

A surprise for my brother, he requested the chocolate zucchini cake and ganache. He saw Optimus Prime immediately when they made their entrance to the reception and of course had to fix something. The wedding cake was fruit flan (also in my photos) so I added some chocolate covered strawberries to tie it in a little... same rough icing look as the brides cake as well.

This was the second cake I did for my son's 7th birthday. WASC with buttercream frosting. The semi stacks are butterfinger sticks. The headlight, sideview mirror and gas tanks are tootsie rolls warmed up and shaped. It was hard to make, but my son's face lite up when he saw it.

3D Optimus Prime for my son's 4th birthday. Built like a wedding cake on a wooden leg support system. Cakes are iced in buttercream, could have been more professional if I used fondant. Fondant accents. Over 2 feet tall. You can see some imperfections, but this was the trial run to see if the cake could stand. I added some fondant tire s next to the legs to hid the dowels at the party. Inspiration came from a cake I found online.

I made this for my son's 5th birthday. He is REALLY into Transformers AND fire trucks so I did a combination for his b-day. And my neighbor, who is a volunteer firefighter stopped by the party with the fire truck, so it was a very cool day!!

My interpretation of the poster on the left I was given. It is freehand in BC and royal all airbrushed and lusterdust. I didnt want to go so dark since it was for 6 yr olds, I thought it would be too messy. TFL

This cake was cut from a 11x15 sheet cake. It took my husband and I about 12 hours to make. Well, it was for our son so it was made with love. Hope you like it. Buttercream icing and fondant decorations. 5/25/09 with the new feature I added a diagram of this cake and the naked version.

Cupcakes decorated with BC and laminated Transformers logo topper. Te tower topper is made out of styrofoam. I made this for my son's birthday to go wtih his 3D Optimus Prime truck cake. Check it out in my photos. Thanks for looing!

This was made for a young boys birthday party. I actually took several different ideas from CC and combined them into one cake. The cake is covered with buttercream and the details are made from color flow.

Here is an Optimus Prime I made for a friend. The head is styrofoam with rice krispie treats and fondant. Had a hard time with the fondant cracking.

I made this for a 10 year old little boy. The Allspark is made out of rice krispies. I found the idea for the stones from someones photo here on CC. Everything is made out of MMF. I painted the cakes with luster dust to give it the metallic look. This is my 7th cake.

this is a full sheet (18 x 13) marbe cake, filled with chocolate filling and frosted in buttercream. the transformers are frozen buttercream transfers of optimus prime and bumblebee. thanks for looking.

Chocolate fudge cake with buttercream icing. I had a hard time with the icing thanks to Hurricane Ike and the weather it brought in. I hope the birthday boy likes it.

1/4 sheet cut to size. Only part not edible is the smoke stakes....straws covered in fondant. This was a challenge but was fun.

Pineapple cake used 5 (bread) Loaf pans. First time carving a cake, all BC with MMF accents. Started at 6pm finished at 3:30am. GEEZ!! Made this cake for my grandson that only said, "I want an Optimus Prime Robot Cake, Gammy" THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the HELP bettycrockermommy!!! You are a wonderful instructor and a GREAT cake decorator!!! JJ loved his cake!! Now all I hear is I love my cake Gammy!! So it was all worth it!!

This is a Transformer cake that is the Optimus Prime Truck. It si 22 inches long total and was made using 3 13 x 9 cakes and 1 9 inch square cake, it was a mixture of chocolate cake and yellow cake, . The details are fondant and painted in edible silver. the rods are made from fondant wrapped prezels, and the wheels are made from chocolate mini doughnuts. The Optimus prime stencil at the back was made form fondant , and I made a stencil of his face spray painted it on and outlines it in edible markers.

I made a chocolate chocolate chip cake with cream cheese buttercream icing. This was my first time using the royal icing transfer technique. I think it came out well. :) I bought LED lights online and buried them in the cake, then set the characters over the lights. When doing the transfers I made sure to reserve an open space for the light to come through. It was the day before we moved across country, so I only had a plastic knife to frost with and a ziplock back to write with!

A cake made for my 4 year old nephew. Cake covered in fondant and all decorations done in fondant. I made my sister buy the two toys on top as it would be a scary undertaking to attempt to mold them.

This was my first unusual cake!! (not square or round). I think it turned out pretty well!! Truck is chocolate cake covered in fondant, wheels/smoke stacks/gas tanks are rice krispies covered in fondant.

One of the few sculpted cakes that I have actually dared to do, but it came out ok. Yellow cake with chocolate ganache filling and covered in fondant with gumpaste and fondant accents.

This is a chocolate cake with Vanilla frosting. Optimus is RKT covered in fondant. The buildings are gumpaste rectangles airbrushed black. His axe is gumpaste on a lollipop stick. I am a CSM and as always Thanks for looking!

Hand Carved -13 long x 6 wide x 6 inches tall - 1/2 Chocolate and 1/2 White cake. Covered with Vanilla icing. Wheels and Autobot shield on grill made of fondant. All other decorations made entirely of icing.
