This was the bottom layer of the original 2 layer cake I made for my friend's daughter's birthday. The top layer was for the family party & the bottom layer was for the kids party. I added some flowers to cover up the top once the top layer was removed.

This cake almost did not make it, I used a bigger dowel than usual do and it lifted the middle tier which was a cake dummy up off the bottom tier, I was in a panic and started trying to push it back down which damaged the fondant on the dummy tier, and this was about 4am, I woke my DH up and he hammered the dowel out of the cake and then we started repair the cake. I was worrying about how I was going to fix the damage to the middle tier so I said a pray and 2 hrs of sleep later, I add flowers, Phew!

My first topsy turvy (& first fondant cake) for a friend's daughters' 14th birthday. I had fondant issues and bulging on the lower tier (thank goodness for ribbon!). I have since researched fondant techniques on cc and think I know what I did wrong! The two tone curly ribbons were easy and fun, my 7 year old daughter helped wrap them around drinking straws! The recipient was thrilled.

8 Inch and 12 Inch vanilla cake with brown colored almond buttercream.
The request was for a Bridal Shower cake that looked like chocolate
but didn't taste like chocolate. The Wedding Colors are Chocolate and
Pink. The bride-to-be loved it. Topper and flowers are made from
fondant.

This was the first time I used the wilton ribbon cutter on the fondant bow. I like the wavy look! The large flowers on this cake where made using the med. leaf cut-out. I do alot of cakes with these same colors but I think I like the Lime green icing and the blue bow together! Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!

Yellow cake w/white chocolate bc and covered with MMF. This is my first time working with fondant and making RI tiaras. It was a lot of fun. It's a practice run before making two of these for my daughters' upcoming bday party.

Vanilla bean cake with raspberry creme filling. BC covered with pink marbled fondant. Accents are all fondant - bows and ribbon roses. This is my first shoe and the fondant is textured at the toe and heel to look like alligator skin. Girl's name JOYE stamped on the insole. The black strip at the bottom is also textured like gator skin. It was so fun to do this Adult Bday cake, the receiver is a real fashion diva.

The bride gave me a stencil to use..but it didn't work, it was too thin and kept sticking to the fondant..so I had to hand paint the design as well as I could to match the stencil.

I wish this was my own design, but alas it is not. This was a cake that my sister-in-law fell in love with and wanted me to re-create for the wedding. It is a Confetti wedding cake called "Embroidery". I hope i did the design justice.

Made this for my sister-in-law's neice for her 6th birthday. It is a chocolate rasberry 15" petal cake with rasberry buttercream filling and regular butter cream icing. The flowers are mostly fondant but there are a couple of royal icing roses in the mix. The fairies are based on aine2's character tutorial on her website (thank you!).

I made this for my daughter's Christening. Two tiers of chocolate mud cake filled with chocolate ganache. Covered in fondant. Bootie soles are from gumpaste with tuille tops decorated with royal icing in a cornelli pattern. The idea for these is from a book by the International School of Sugarcraft.

I made my cousin (who had a princess party) this mini-cake! The tiara is royal icing, the piped decorations are royal icing, as well. The cake is covered in fondant, with a random pink piece on the top. :] The girl I made it for barely acknowledged it ( :[ )...but hey, I guess she was busy with her bounce-castle...
