My friend asked me to make a pie cake for her husband's birthday. It was super easy to do. I baked the pie directly in the pie plate, removed it and cut it in half so I could add the cream cheese filling. Then I put red fondant on the cake, covered by the weaved top. I painted on some brown to make it look shiny and used gel icing to make it look like the cherry spilled out of the crust. I hope you like it!

I had some batter left over from my "mac n cheese" cake so I made a "cherry pie" in one of my pie pans. I made cherries from rolled butercream and also the crust.

I made these little guys using a scone pan and then covered in MMF to look like Lemon Meringue, Key Lime, Boston Cream and Cherry Lattice pie.

Buttercream cake with cake burger covered in fondant. Pie is RKT covered in fondant and piping gel. Shake is RKT covered in fondant with BC swirl and fondant cherry.

I made these pumpkin pie cupcakes for a work luncheon and they came out so perfect! I made all of the cupcake wrappers out of scrapbooking paper and embellished them with rhinestones. I made fall leaves and yellow flowers out of fondant to top them off.

These cupcakes were a special request. The cupcake itself is banana. The filling is banana cream, and the topping is a combination of fresh whipping cream and vanilla pudding.

Made these for Canadian Thanksgiving. Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing. 'Cherries and Blueberries,' are red and blue M&M's. tfl :)

This was the second of two dummy cakes I did for our local art walk. It is based on a comic book/comic strip called "Mimi's Doughnuts" written and illustrated by a local artist. Cakes are covered in fondant, except for the sprinkles tier and the small tier covered in white non-pareils. Doughnut is RKT, plaques on hex tier are gumpaste and royal icing. Hope you enjoy checking it out. It was a fun cake to make!

A while back, I made Terry's daughter's wedding cake (the celtic tree wedding cake). Luckily, she loved that cake and was hoping I made cherry pies since she has a long running tradition with her husband to get and/or make him a cherry pie for his birthday. Because I don't make pies, I pitched the idea of making him a pie-cake. Luckily she went for it because this is what we ended up with. The cake was a Chocolate Dipped Cherry Pie Cake (chocolate cake with cherries baked in layered with chocolate buttercream). I used real cherries on the top of the cake that are "peaking" through the pie strips. In order to make the cake look like pie, I used a light-brown colored marshmallow fondant as the outside and stripes. Then I hand painted them with a light coat of brown food coloring so that it had some variation and depth to it. Lastly, I sprinkled the cake with crystalized sugar because I think that's what they usually sprinkle on pies, right? Right-o! I made the "picnic blanket" out of marshmallow fondant as well. Ah, I had SO much fun with this cake. I love making cakes that look like other things... more to come!!

For our niece's 12th birthday. Her nickname is Rosie-Pie, which is why the queen bee is holding a rose and has a pie :o) This cake included a lot of first times for me, almost everything I did I had never done before. Torting the cakes, filling them, carving them a little bit, stacking them, fondant over an odd shape.... so many things! Thank you Doris for all our input :o)

Apple pie cake I made as a joke for my kids school pie contest. it is an apple spice cake with a chunky apple filling. I made apple fondant slices and mixed them with a colored piping gel. Crust is fondant

I have seen this one on bakerella..and decided to make it..i made a little change by dipping it in candy coating..the mini pie itself is a key lime pie and the candy coatin its peppermint flavor..and they combine really good together

I made 60 of these for a charity auction. The toppers are fondant. The inspiration for the pilgrims, Indians, and turkeys came from someone online, the leaves were inspired by madamraz's cookies, the pumpkin pie toppers were inspired by thefrostedcakeandcookie

I had sooo much fun making this for my cousin's farewell dinner. I wanted to create a typical kiwiana (New Zealand) diet, which he thoroughly enjoyed during his stay with us. Tried my best to recreate the fish and chips we had at Piha Beach, and also the BP meat pies he loved so much! Chips bag is chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache, then homemade MMF. Chips are NFSC (which I sprinkled with sugar at the dinner, which is not shown on photo). Fish is red velvet covered in BC and MMF, then painted (I wish I had an airbrush!!) Meat pie is also red velvet with BC and MMF, sprinkled with black sugar for the pepper. I was very pleased with how it turned out, especially since I didn't have an airbrush to achieve the look I wanted. Tomato sauce is BC coloured red. TFL and feel free to leave comments as I love to know what you think :-)

Pumpkin Pie flavored cupcakes with Ginger spiced cream cheese buttercream. Used a few left over cupcakes to make cakeballs, then made Pumpkin pie slice toppers from that.

Spice cake, Whimsical Bakehouse House Buttercream, dusted with cinnamon, crust and topping on pie are fondant and the filling is a Kraft caramel Thanks to the tutorial posted on this site. Fun to make, easy and super cute. TFL :)

Pumpkin spice cupcakes with buttercream icing, I wanted to use a cream cheese icing, but was afraid of them sitting out to long. Little pumpkin pie slices made out of MMF, got the idea from thefrostedcakencookie website. TFL!!!
