Photos of the birthday girl from birth to teen to twenty one!
I was on a very tight time frame so I just copied pictures and laminated them and then attached them to the cake (otherwise I would have done edible images).

The picture frame over the cake was made in a gumpaste plaque, I draw the picture.
It was for an Anniversary of the death of the lady in the picture frame. You can compare the picture frame photo and the real photo a the lady in it.

A fondant covered cake for a new photography studio called DMG for their grand opening/owners birthday/football season kick off. The text was printed on edible paper and I hand cut out each letter and attached it to the cake. The inside of this cake is a surprise for the owner/birthday boy. It is his favorite football team colors. (The Redskins). Red/Maroon and yellow!

Cookies made for teachers at the end of year. I used edible images of my children on sugar cookies, with RI borders. I layered these cookies in Mason jars with cookies that my kids had decorated themselves. I finished off the jars with colourful fabric tops tied with coordinating leather ties. The gifts were very well received.

This cake was made for a 70th birthday party for a lady who taught ballet. The bottom cake was vanilla with a vanilla ganache filling and coating. The top cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and coating. Both are covered in MMF. The roses are icing. The ballet shoes are made from fondant. This is my first cake of this size, I usually make much smaller cakes.

When a local photographer called and asked us to do a fabulous cake for the grand opening of her new studio I was so excited. I have been wanting to do a cake with the photos all around each tier so bad! The photographer sent us her best photos and they are truly what made this cake so beautiful! The camera on top is made of rice crispies covered in chocolate and then fondant. This idea would make a wonderful anniversary cake also, but with flowers on top! TFL!

This was my 1st attempt at using edible photos, the final product wasn't too bad, considering I have been qutie ill. The icing started to crack aound the edges for some reason, not my best job, but it is all practice.

I made this cake for my Dad when he came home from South Korea. He works for an army depot and is usually gone for most of the year. This is my third fondant cake, and my first icing image cake. There are some flaws in it, but I am happy with it overall.

Customer knew exactly what she wanted... sent me a pic of what she had in mind. I tweaked it a tiny bit - instead of a 9" square, I made a 10 x 8 - but that gives the same sort of number of portions, so I doubt she'll mind. I added the stars on the board and on the front, 'cause it just needed something.

Nothing in the least bit exciting about this cake. It's a cake with an edible photo for a lady who is retiring. The photo is of the Barnardo's Church, which is in the 'Barnardo's Village' - very, very near me. The lady is retiring from Barnado's and the customer requested this for her. I found the photo on Flickr and the guy who took it kindly let me use it for the edible image. The customer who ordered must have caught me at a weak moment - I found myself agreeing to do this cake for almost half price! Don't ask!! But he said he only had ?x budget and as Barnardo's is a charity and there would be x number of people there, isnt' there anything I could do. Anyway, I found myself saying yes. Had he been paying 'proper' price I'd have used a lightly larger cake drum and done a rose or two on the cake drum. I also didn't buy any ribbon espcially - I just used some I had in stock. So a rather bright pink! Cool And then did the inscription in the same sort of colour.

I bet the birthday 'boy' will be delighted to share this photograph with all his friends at his 21st birthday party!! ;o) Edible photo and I've used claret and blue to frame it, as he's a West Ham supporter.
