Yellow cake w/choc. BC covered in fondant. Client ordered for wife's birthday/relocation party. Peach needed to be carved @ base, but for some odd reason, 2 cakes had already crushed on me and my mind was a bit frazzled trying to figure out why. I usually have sketch/written details so as not t forget what little details I need ut who knows what happened. Anyway, my cust. was overjoyed with the outcome! TFL!

...gonna eat a lot of peaches...cake bites, that is! Stems are pretzel sticks, leaves are fondant, gentle dusting of pink luster dust for peachy glow. I wanted them to look like they were in a peach crate so I used this egg carton. I envision apples, oranges, pears...

Ok - we'll call this one a learning expierience! LOL I had never made a whimsey cake before, so I thought I would try one for my birthday. I made the MMF the day of decorating, instead of letting it rest overnight, so it was soooo soft and hard to work with - and how the heck to do go from a big top to the small bottom without getting pleats in the MMF??? Anyway, learned a lot with this one - maybe I will try again someday. Yellow cake, MMF and buttercream decorations.

First attempt at both using fondand and a Whimsical Cake. Not quite as crooked as I wanted, but next time will be better... and smaller. Comments/critiques welcome. (Thanks for the how-to Very informative! Strange pixeled spot is covering big shadow, sorry)

I think this cake is rather boring! But it's what was requested. Chocolate cake with IMBC icing and regular BC filling. It did taste good though.

Had leftover frosting from my son's hunting cake (in photos) so I just started putting it on the cupcakes whichever way it happened - no plan in mind when I started. :-) I think the blue is very overpowering (it was the river icing) but the peach and brown look okay together. TFL.

I made this cake for my brother and his new fiance's engagement dinner. I thought it turned out great even though this is nothing like what I had planned! Chocolate cake with buttercream icing flavoured with "vanilla, toffee, caramel" coffee creamer.

this was our most traditional wedding cake so far, with a bride and groom topper and the seperator plate. We tried to make it as modern as possible. Cakes covered in bc with fondant stripes that were covered in white hologram disco dust and then the flowers I made from gumpaste and petal dusted them peach. TFL

Just for fun on a friday afternoon, I made a three layer pineapple cake with pineapple-orange filling (from the cake doctor book) with buttercream. Then my two year old said I shoule put his name on it, so I ended up putting everyone in the family on it and it became a family cake! Top is 2C drop flowers with #12 dots in center of flowers and on border. I wish I had done a shell bprder, this cake was too tall for the dot border. Oh well!

This is my course 2 final. Luckily I took pictures before I brought it home. I had removed the picks before adding the flowers, and it was too heavy for the buttercream and fell off on the ride home - along with the frosting underneath. Oh well.... But pleased with it overall.
