First time trying to do the tye dye effect with buttercream!! I was happy with how it turned out. 2 layer 8in round cake iced in buttercream with fondant accents of peace signs and flowers. Thanks for looking!

Bottom Zebra tier is 2 layer Tye Dyed Cake with strawberry filling, covered in white Chocolate and homemade Marshmallow fondant. top tier is a 3 layer Tye Dyed Cake with Cookies and Cream Cheesecake filling. covered in Fondant. the smiley faces on the wires are made from chocolate and the Birthday girl made them by herself. the 1 and the peace sign are made from fondant. Everything on this cake is edible except for the wires of course.

Entire cake is white. Round cake is covered with MMF. Bottom cake is chocolate MMF. Accents are sugar candies and fondant. Used a sucker for the peace sign on top of cake.

I made this cake for my moms birthday, because she loves peace signs. I used 2 large round baking pans to form the peace sign. I then used a template and traced out the peace sign. I used the buttercream from wilton, and iced the cake , and then let it cool in the fridge. I tinted the frosting yellow and orange, since these are her favorite colors. I did the outline of the peace sign using the star tip, and yellow frosting, and I did the inside of the peace sign with the star tip, with the orange frosting. I then used the leaf tip to make leaves all the way around the cake. I also used the small daisy cutout and gumpaste to make small flowers to go around the cake. My mom loved this cake, and since she loved it so much it is still in her freezer, she refuses to cut into it. She is looking for a way to preserve it forever, any suggestions on how to do that would be awesome.

Made for my friend's daughter. My 10 year old helped. I overworked the colors for the tie-dye and within a few kneads, it turned too dark. Next time, it will only be a few turns. Braided fondant border. Fondant cut-outs.

A 50th birthday cake I made for my uncle. The tiers are 10"-8"-6". The bottom was Vanilla with Strawberry Buttercream and fresh strawberries, the middle was Chocolate with Peanut Butter SMBC and the top was WASC with Raspberry filling. The theme was 70's so I tie dyed the fondant and added lots of smiley faces, peace signs and "funky flowers". Then I added some disco dancer silhouettes that were covered with black Disco Dust. The disco ball is rice cereal treats, covered with fondant "mirror tiles" that were coated with Disco Dust to make it sparkly! The number "50" was also coated with black disco dust. Cake is chocolate with cheesecake filling and cream cheese frosting. This was my first try at making tie-dye fondant and made a template for the peace sign. The big daisies are gum paste, little ones on the sides of the cake are fondant.
