This was actually for my cake decorating class. It was a yellow cake with hazelnut flavoring. Simple design transfer, filled in with stars, and shamrocks piped on.

It was my first cake so I tried to keep it pretty simple. Just fondant I dyed with color gels. I made the fondant from scratch, it was MM. I had fun doing it, even though it's lumpy. Oh well, I'll remember to level it next time.

St. Patrick's Day cake. Marble cake filled with ganache, iced with my first try at IMBC. Colours are not exactly what I wanted, I must investigate differences in tinting IMBC vs. regular buttercream. No matter, my co-workers will devour it anyway, and the IMBC tastes fabulous!

This is a Devil's Food cake with filling made with butter cream, crushed Thin Mint cookies and a touch of peppermint extract and topped with plain ol buttercream. I made this cake for a party at my SIL's. It was cute and yummy and really simple; a success in my book :) I am still dabbling with transfers, trying to keep it really simple until it clicks.

A very last minute cake for my DH's niece. I was told about it the night before and, for the life of me, I couldn't get the icing to smooth. Too much humidity in my house and too many nerves, lol! Oh well, she liked it! 12", 9" and 6" stacked with cardboard circles and drinking straws as supports.

My first order, bagged up and ready to go. I made 3 different color combos of this cookie using two shades of green and yellow. The other cookies are plain green with small star border, light green with sanding sugar, marbled fondant base with RI border. There were 24 total and they were so thick that they almost didn't fit in the box!

I threw this together at the last minuet to share with some friends on a camping trip this weekend. I was rushed so the frosting didn't come out like I wanted it to. WASC cake (so yummy!) with buttercream filling and frosting and royal icing shamrocks.

12" fondant covered cake I made for my husband's birthday (on St. Patty's Day!). I free-handed all the writing using royal icing & gold highlight dust. The shamrocks and banner are sugar paste.

Not too happy with this cake, but i was rushed in the end. Standard sheet cake, chocolate mint cake, BC icing. Piping gel transfer for the rainbow. I tried to be creative with the shamrocks and use a cookie cutter as a template, then just fill them in. Yeah, didn't work too well. And then i was planning on doing a reverse shell border but my husband was rushing me to hurry up, so it's kind of just.....a nothing border!!

I was in a hurry to make this cake for a party we were throwing. It was half strawberry and half lemon cake with buttercream icing and filling. I had to do an edible image because of my hurry so I feel like this cake isn't all mine! It was festive though!
