This cake was SO easy to make! It is made of yellow cake and BC frosting. I glued a1 inch by 1 inch peice of styrofoam to the cake board. Baked 2 loaf pans of cake for the trailer part and then placed them on the stryofoam and trimmed them to be the same size (remeber to secure them to the stryofoam by wooden pics or straws!). I then carved about 3/4's of another loaf of caked for the rig. I used Oreo's for the wheels and silver pipe cleaners for the stacks.

My first attempt with FBCT and I still have much to learn (though I love the technique)....I was inspired from a cake here on Cake central and although I have searched for it (to give credit) I cannot find it again! Not my best work (as I was too excited and hurried through the process) but fun none-the-less...thanks for looking!

Just a cake I made for Thanksgiving. I only started cake decorating in May 2006....not even a full year yet. So I'm still a beginner.

These are my very first batches of cookies, since I became more serious with the decorating! They are for a basketball game this weekend! These two recipes make quite the combination! These cookies make me wish I hadn't had my gastic bypass.... then i could have eaten them.... all! Anyway! They came out wonderful! Thank you to the geniuses behind those recipes!

My first order for a cake.
BC icing with MMF accents. Had fun doing this but I need some practice handling fondant.
Lesson # 1 Don't use white royal icing to glue the fondant together!! I was just seeing if it would work and it did..... but I should have known to tint it pink!

This was for a little boy turning 1. It is a 11 x 15 carved to look like a crayon box and icecream cones for the tips of the crayons. Also had to make 5 dozen cupcakes with a crayon candle in each one. I also made a 4" smash cake, but it is not in this pic.

I made these cakes for our oldest 2nd birthday. I was able to bring the small 8X8 square cake to his d-care & large one was for his party at home. Both decorated w/ B/C Free Handed the design. Make the orange cones w/ Mini-trial size ice cream cones affixed w/Chocolate to a graham cracker & covered in Orange Icing w/ whitening to make more opaque ( I made the cones 2 days ahead to let dry & Next time I made these cones covered in Chocolate & I have for witches hat & Christmas trees.) My first wedding cake - almost a heart attack, I was sooo nervous. Anyhow, bride was pleased - Bottom layer fruit and the others are almond and vanilla sponge with Creme Au Buerre filling (the lightest yummiest filling ever!). Thanks for looking.

This is a yellow cake w/ crusting BC frosting that I made for my dh's birthday. I used a shell border on the top and did some green and orange "streamer" type frosting on the edges -it kind of reminds me of stuff I've seen on store bought cakes and thought it was reminiscient of a party anyways. The "U" is a FBCT and though the cake design is very simple my husband enjoyed it.

This was from a birthday party for a kid who liked Nascar. They added a car from his favorite driver when they showed it to him. Not that exciting if you ask me...
