The invitation for this cake was adorable!! (Shown enlarged in photo) The animals and the writing are done in royal icing. I got it a little too thin for the animals, but not too bad. The rest is BC.

I made this for a friend who was giving a Noah's Arc themed baby shower. It's a chocolate cake with buttercream. The animals are molded out of mmf. This was my first cake with mmf animals. She was happy with the way the cake turned out!

This was the second cake done for my son's 3rd birthday. Banana cake and chocolate whipped frosting star tip#16 used. Cracker pan idea from wilton. This one my mom loved. She said it was like eating a real banana. And the scent of the frosting was wonderful.

This is a cake for my dh...he is a pipe maker. His request was colorful, with a monkey smoking a pipe. The monkey has a pipe in it's mouth, but I don't know if you can see it very well from this angle. This is an original design of my own. Comments welcome.

This monkey was made out of the stand up bear pan. I cut off the ears and lowed them. I skewered them in. Chocolate bc the entire thing. The hat is a sugar cone covered in bc with mmf accents. I carved the legs a little and just created new ones out of bc. Oh... also added a tail out of bc. The face, inside of ears, hands, feet and banana are mmf.

I made this cake for my son's friend. Half vanilla, half chocolate with the icing to match. She wanted the cake to be simple with the monkeys. The party was a smash and the cake was a big hit!!!!

I had one cake order of a monkey cake and thought I wouldn't be doing one of those again soon. Then one week later I have another order for a monkey cake. Monkey's must be popular. I have attached the partyware she ordered and hopefully my cake complimented that. Yikes. Per customers request 1/2 carrot 1/2 chocolate , cream cheese icing, mmf accents.

This cake is a surprise birthday cake for a friend who is a huge Keith Urban fan, I know nothing about him but I guess this is a symbol he uses. The cake is a chocolate "dump-it" recipe. She loves chocolate and peanut butter so it is filled with my version of cookies and cream, chocolate mousse and crumbled nutter butter cookes. Frosted and decorated with buttercream

I'm not real good at cute and fun cookies. My work always looks a little to neat. Here's my attempt at a more fun cookie. He's about 4" tall. Thanks for looking.

It's supposed to look like a monkey went through it. It kind of bothered me to give a "messy" cake to someone, but they loved it.

This was done for a baby shower at work. The top two layers are Strawberry Cake with strawberry filling. The bottom cake is a devils food cake filled with whipped chocolate icing. The figures are made of fondant. The sides are bulging a bit on the top top because I got greedy on the filling and wanted lots. It was too mcuh.

This little guy almost sent me to the nuthouse. You can read all about it in the "My first cake disaster" forum. It's all cake and buttercream. The decorations are handpainted with buttercreama to resemble a photo taken from the movie where he has painted the walls. See separate photo of banana smashcake.

This is a variation on the Martha Stewart monkey head cake. It's simply two 9" round chocolate cakes stacked with banana pudding as a filling, frosted with chocolate and two chocolate cupcakes (just some extra batter) cut in half and stuck in with toothpicks. Yellow frosting for mouth and ears and Junior Mint eyes, snipped fruit leather nostrils, red hots for mouth (I forgot to buy red candy for the mouth - should have used licorice).

I iced this cake with buttercream in the yellow and red colors of Curious George. I transferred a picture of George's face to the cake using piping gel. I then filled him in with a star tip.

6" on top of 8". BC covered and bordered. Fondant animals, plaque, and number. Looks more safari, but I think it works for zoo. I copied the animals from adarabia. Love all of her work! Thanks for great idea.

This is a cake that I done for my cousin's little girl. She loves monkeys and pink & purple. This was a fun cake to make. It is all bc icing. I did stop at a gas station and buy some Runts candy and put bananas on the ears for earrings, but I had already taken the picture before I delivered it.

THis is a "crazy monkey" cake for a monkey themed party. the monkeys are fondnt, the trees are pretzels with fondant leaves and Whoppers candie for coconuts. Jute rope for the line...All very easy to assemble. THe cake ITSELF was the hit...Top was Vanilla with cherry filling, middle was banana spice with banana cream filling, bottom was choc cake with rasberry filling. Put it all together....? Banana split cake! For the little monkeys at the party! We also served banana splits along with it.

This is a 12 inch double layer round birthday cake. Covered in buttercream frosting with freehand monkey illustration drawn in layers with buttercream candles on the sides. I draw all of my illustrations in pencil or ink before I take it to the cake. The little girl LOVED the monkey...and the cake! This is one of my favorites.
